The 45 date American Idol tour kicks off in Detroit, Michigan, on July 6 at the Joe Louis Arena. The tour will end on September 11 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the Bradley Center. Phil Phillips should be on the tour, when it starts, barring any medical complications from his surgery, but he may miss significant rehearsal time.
The ten singers on the 2012 tour:
Heejun Han
DeAndre Brackensick
Elise Testone
Hollie Cavanagh
Phil Phillps
Joshua Ledet
Skylar Laine
Colton Dixon
Erika Van Pelt
Jessica Sanchez
The American Idol singers on tour last year reportedly received $1,000, for each of the 49 dates. There has been no indication, of how much the singers will earn in 2012, that I know of. The American Idol contracts change from year to year, so the singers could earn more or less than the singers on the 2011 tour. There are reports that the singers will earn $50 spending money on days, that they don’t perform.
Joshua Ledet will be happy to return to Louisiana for the show at the Cajundome in Lafayette, Louisiana, which is about 80 miles from his hometown of Westlake, Louisiana.
Those attending the last four concerts, in the following cities should see the singers at their best, as they will have already been singing for two full months:
9/7 Atlantic City, NJ Boardwalk Hall
9/8 Reading, PA Sovereign Center
9/10 Cincinnati, OH US Bank Arena
9/11 Milwaukee, WI Bradley Center

Recording Contracts
Some of the singers may be working on recording projects during the tour, but they probably won’t be able to finish any projects, till the tour ends on September 11.
I think it is safe to say that Heejun Han and DeAndre Brackensick won’t be offered recording contracts. Hollie Cavanagh, Colton Dixon and Erika Van Pelt could possibly be offered recording contracts, in the future but Phil Phillips, Jessica Sanchez, Skylar Laine, Elise Testone and Joshua Ledet are almost sure, to have albums recorded before any of the other singers.

This is a sweet line up and I hope I get to see everyone from season eleven perform. I would love to see Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips especially. I love to watch American Idol and I’ve even watched my past recordings again. I’m glad my coworker at Dish told me about this show a few years ago. Now I can watch American Idol all commercial free on primetime. The Hopper’s Auto Hop feature, still allows networks to advertiser commercials it’s just a way to get past having to manually do it which’s what most of us do already. You can still rewind to see the commercials if you want and you have to enable the feature yourself in order for it to work. Its been wonderful not having to worry about skipping the commercials and it gives my remote a break.
Hope you are able to see the American Idols on tour. We saw Josh Ledet last Saturday and he sang for free, since we live only 8 miles from his house.
I look for the advertisers to fight the Hopper tooth and nail. It saves about 15 minutes to watch an hour long show without commercials.
Thank you for your comment.
