American Idol: Heejun Han May Be Going Home

Heejun Han should be in the bottom three tonight.

Heejun Han is almost certainly to be in the bottom three, after Randy Jackson said that he was in the most trouble after singing last night. The other two judges, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler declined to give a name of a singer in trouble. I don’t know if this is a good idea, to ask the judges who is safe and who is in trouble. When a judge says someone is safe, the supporters of that singer may not bother to vote for them and we could have another Pia Toscano situation like in Season 10. The producers may instruct the judges to name names, of those singers in trouble instead,  of leaving it to America to decide like Jennifer Lopez stated. Ryan Seacrest was asking this question for a reason and it is to stir up drama, so when a judge refuses to name names there is no drama. Regardless, Heehun Han will be in the bottom three, if there is a bottom three tonight, in the aftermath of the Jermaine Jones dismissal from the show. American Idol producers have a few options, to avoid the show ending a week earlier than planned. The judges could use their save this week or later to keep the show on schedule. Or they could bring Jeremy Rosado back. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Speaking only for myself my favorites are Joshua Ledet, who lives 10 miles from here in Westlake, Louisiana, Shannon Magrane, Hollie Cavanagh, Jessica Sanchez and Erika Van Pelt. It is time that Jimmy Iovine and the guest mentor let the singers pick their own songs. They may have the best interests of the singer at heart, but the singer’s fate can depend on the song choice, so why not let them make that choice. It is better than them thinking later after being voted off the show, that they should have went with their own song choice. One thing for certain is that Joshua Ledet was by far the best singer last night, when he sang the Percy Sledge classic When A Man Loves A Woman. It started a little slow for me, but he brought it home in the last half of the song, as the judges gave him a standing ovation. Ledet is not only a singer, but a natural entertainer and will be interesting to listen to and watch in Season 11. Just hope the judges didn’t give him the kiss of death, by saying he is safe, when in reality nobody is ever safe on American Idol till they win on finale night in May. For more details on last night’s show:
