Randy “Macho Man” Savage Dies in Car Accident

Randy "Macho Man" Savage has died in a car accident in Tampa, Florida at the age of 58.


The wrestling world has lost one of their most colorful characters today as Randy “Macho Man” Savage died at 9:25 AM in Tampa, Florida in a car accident. He was 58.

He lost control of his vehicle, crossed a median and collided head-on with a tree. He and his wife of one year Lynn were both wearing their seatbelts and Lynn only sustained minor injuries.

The “Macho Man” was one of the most colorful characters in the wrestling ring. He one time played baseball in the minor leagues. His complete minor league record is shown below:


Among the survivors are his brother “Leaping Lanny” Poffo who also was a wrestler at the same time as his brother.
