FBI Releases Video of Boston Marathon Bombing Suspects

The FBI has released videos of two suspects, that may have participated in the Boston Marathon bombing earlier this week.

The agency is seeking help from citizens, that may have seen the suspects and anything that they may recall about the two individuals.

It is imperative that these two suspects be captured, as soon as possible to prevent them from leaving the country, if they are international terrorists or go into hiding if they are American citizens.

We should know more about these suspects, now that those there at the Boston Marathon may remember them and may have even have their photos in their cell phones.

The main thing is to get these people off the street, so they can be brought to justice, if they are the perpetrators behind the Boston Marathon bombings.

Day of Fun Turns Into Tragedy In Boston (WordPress Formatting Problems With Some of the Paragraphs)

The Boston Marathon is usually a cause of celebration, but two bombs exploding near the finish line turned the day into an unspeakable tragedy.

Earlier that day the Boston Red Sox had played the Tampa Bay Rays and the players heard the explosions as they left Fenway Park, after playing the traditional Red Sox game, that coincides with the Boston Marathon.

27,000 runners had converged on Boston to participate in the 117th running of the Boston Marathon. After the bombs exploded near the finish line nobody was even thinking of who won the race, but everyone was concerned about the three killed and 148 injured, according to the latest reports.

The mood of the crowd changed from euphoria as they cheered the runners crossing the finish line, to utter shock as two bombs exploded near the finish line. The reports of the injuries to those wounded in the bombings are too graphic to recount in this article. I heard some gruesome accounts of what witnesses saw in the aftermath of the bombing, but no need to detail their accounts, since the terrorists would enjoy hearing the gory details, of what pain and suffering was caused by the bombings.

Now the focus turns to who committed such a cowardly act, that led to loss of life and injuries that may force some of the injured to be crippled for life.

Is Anyone Really Safe?

This latest tragedy caused by terrorists once again reminds us of how fragile life is. People were having fun one minute and then utter chaos ensues after the bombs do their damage to innocent people, who only wanted to enjoy a day off from their work, only to have it end in such a tragic manner.

We don’t know whether international terrorists or national terrorists are responsible for yesterday’s tragedy, but we do know it was a terrorist act, whether by an organized group or one or two individuals.

There certainly was a state of fear on Boylston Street in Boston yesterday, when an idyllic day turned into a day that will never be forgotten, but never to be forgotten for the wrong reason.
United States has been the scene of terrorism in the last year or so, from those shot or killed at the Aurora, Colorado movie theater, to the students and teachers who lost their life in their school in Newtown, Connecticut and now this terrorist act on Boylston Street in Boston, Massachusetts.
Even though the theater and school murders were executed by lone gunmen they still were acts of terrorism in my book and while the bombings in Boston seem to be the work of organized terrorists we still don’t know for sure how many were involved.
What we do know is that theaters, classrooms and downtown streets are no longer safe. Is there really a safe place that can be regarded as terrorist free? The terrorists have answered that question with a resounding no.
I could point out the many places that invite terrorism, but why give terrorists ideas of how to inflict more loss of life. It is difficult to understand the mind of a terrorist, since most people may not like a situation they are in, but would never take the extreme measures, that terrorists take to inflict their will on their victims.
All we can do now is to hope that the government agencies can track down and arrest who were the masterminds, behind the tragic murders of innocent victims yesterday in Boston.
That doesn’t mean that other terrorists won’t continue to strike fear into American citizens, with other terrorist acts like the one, that was committed in Boston yesterday.
Twelve years have passed since 9/11, but the world is no safer than it was on that Tuesday morning, when terrorists ended the lives of thousands of Americans, who were on routine flights or had gone to work in downtown New York or in the Pentagon and the policemen and firemen who gave their life that day.
Life is very fragile and we learned that again, from what happened in Boston yesterday.

JFK Assassination 50 Years Later: Still No Smoking Gun

50 years since the assassination of President John F. Kennedy have passed and yet there is still no smoking gun, that proves that the crime was a conspiracy. I have read a lot of books on the subject, but still have not read anything that proves there was a conspiracy.

I still think it was a conspiracy and think the Warren Commission Report was slanted, to make the American public think Lee Harvey Oswald was the sole person, that was involved in the assassination.

My personal opinion is that Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson was involved in the assassination. He had the most to gain, from the assassination of President Kennedy. Johnson was very unhappy being a figurehead in the Kennedy administration and had the most to gain if the president was dead. He knew he would instantly become president, if Kennedy were to be assassinated. There are many instances, in which Johnson seemed to be involved like it was said that Johnson is the one that insisted that the presidential limousine top be uncovered. The president became an open target to any assassin, once the limousine proceeded toward the killing zone.

There is a report that Johnson told a girlfriend the night before the assassination, that the Kennedys would never embarrass him again as mentioned in this article. The article is missing some photos, but the content of the article is what is important.

One of the key parts of the article is this paragraph, in which his girlfriend mentions that LBJ was on the brink of going to prison, because of hearings going on in Washington. This testimony was supposed to be given on the day of the assassination, but when LBJ became president the hearings were stopped and LBJ averted being sent to prison, now that he had the power of the presidency to protect him, from any further hearings.

“Had the assassination not happened the day that it did, Lyndon Johnson would have probably gone to prison,  they would have gotten rid of him – he was so involved with some of this,”  said Brown.

LBJ more than other person may be the reason, that no smoking gun has ever been found that would blow the lid off a LBJ conspiracy.

Mac Wallace, whose fingerprints were found on a box in the Texas School Book Depository is thought by some, to have fired the fatal shots that killed President John F. Kennedy. The following reader’s review after reading LBJ: The Mastermind Behind The JFK Assassination connects some of the dots that lead to LBJ as the mastermind behind the killing. I read the 658 page book last fall and it details how LBJ systematically got rid of his enemies using his hit man Mac Wallace to kill them. There are some that think Wallace enlisted Lee Harvey Oswald and Jack Ruby as part of the assassination and subsequent murder of Oswald. When E. Howard Hunt mentions on his death bed that LBJ was involved in the assassination, then it makes sense, that LBJ was involved in the assassination from the beginning to the end. The book mentions that when the presidential motorcade reached the killing zone, that LBJ ducked down to make sure he wasn’t shot, while leaving his wife and Senator Ralph Yarborough D-Texas exposed, while the assassination was in progress.

  From first chapter to last, this is a beautifully written, intellectually captivating, and ultimately persuasive account of the role of LBJ in the assassination of JFK.  I had more than 100 conversations with Madeleine Duncan Brown, one of his many mistresses but the only one who bore him a son.  She, too, became convinced that Lyndon was profoundly involved in the death of his predecessor.  On New Year’s Eve, six weeks after the assassination, they had a rendezvous at the Driskill Hotel in Austin, where she confronted him with rumors, rampant in Dallas at the time, that he had been involved, since no one stood more to gain.  He blew up at her and told her that the CIA and the oil boys had decided that JFK had to be taken out.  She wrote about it in her book, TEXAS IN THE MORNING.  Her account has been reinforced by Billy Sol Estes, the Texas wheeler-dealer who made mountains of money for Lyndon, Connally, and their buddies, who explains in his book, A TEXAS LEGEND, how he became convinced that Cliff Carter, LBJ’s chief administrative assistant, and Malcolm “Mac” Wallace, his personal assassin (by whom Lyndon had a dozen or more persons terminated, including one of his sisters), had been personally involved.  E. Howard Hunt, in his “Last Confessions” in ROLLING STONE, explained to his son, St. John, that LBJ, Cord Meyer, William Harvey, David Sanchez Morales, and others in the CIA had been involved in the assassination.  For an overview, enter “John F. I have no doubt that Jack Ruby was in the Dallas Police station the morning of Sunday, November 24th, with the backing of organized crime and cooperation from the Dallas Police Department.. Assuming there was a conspiracy, it became incumbent for those involved to prevent Oswald from talking any more to investigators or to be brought to trial.

National columnist Dorothy Kilgallen, who had interviewed Ruby was found dead and her notes about the Ruby interview were missing, when her body was found in her apartment on November 8, 1965. Her death came two weeks exactly short of the second anniversary of the Kennedy assassination.

Richard Kollmar the husband of Kilgallen was asked about his wife’s interest in the JFK assassination by a friend, but Kollmar said he would take that information to his grave.

Some interesting notes about some of the better known people, that had some connection with what happened that day in Dallas 50 years ago:

President John F. Kennedy - Was gunned down in Dealey Plaza on November 22, 1963 at the age of 46. His death came 13 months after the Cuban missile crisis in October of 1962. His death also came one year and three months, after the death of Marilyn Monroe in August of 1962. Monroe reportedly threatened to tell the media about the sexual indiscretions by the president and Bobby Kennedy. We probably will never know if the Kennedy’s were involved in her death, but if she had disclosed the sexual escapades of the Kennedys, then John F. Kennedy would probably not have been assassinated a year later, because he probably would have been impeached.

John F. Kennedy may or may not have been involved in silencing Monroe, but at the same time he may have lived for many more years, even if he wasn’t president on the day of the assassination and would have no reason to be in Dallas that day. If Kennedy was still alive today he would be observing his 96th birthday on May 29.

President Lyndon B. Johnson – The members of the Kennedy administration were not happy, to be coerced into naming Johnson as the vice president at the 1960 Democratic Convention in 1960. Johnson chafed at being told what to do by the Kennedy staffers. So he had every motive to make sure President John F. Kennedy was erased from the American political scene. Johnson was 55 at the time of the assassination and would be 64, when he died on January 22, 1973. He would be 105 in August if still alive.

Lee Harvey Oswald – He is considered to be the lone gunman that assassinated the president on November 22, 1963. This is precisely the way President Lyndon B. Johnson wanted Oswald to be regarded. If Oswald was thought of as a lone conspirator, then it would protect President Johnson from being mentioned as a conspirator. Oswald was only 24 when he assassinated the president and on November 24, 1963,  when he would be shot in a Dallas Police station two days later.

Jack Ruby who shot and killed Oswald ended any chance of Oswald telling anyone about any conspiracy, in a trial that would have been the trial of the century, if it had been held. Instead, Ruby made sure the American people would never know, if Oswald had been involved in a conspiracy. Oswald would have been 74 in October if still alive.

Officer J.D. Tippit – Jack Ruby not only prevented us from knowing more about the Kennedy assassination, but probably also prevented Oswald from telling his story, about what happened in the J.D. Tippit murder. Officer Tippit had joined the Dallas Police force as a patrolman 11 years before the day of the assassination of the president and his own murder. There are conflicting reports about who killed Officer Tippit. Some reports say two men were involved in his murder.

William Scoggins a taxi driver said he heard three gunshots, then saw Tippit fall to the ground. Scoggins said a man with a gun passed by him saying something akin to “poor dumb cop”. At least four witnesses identified Oswaqld in police lineups, which more or less makes it a sure thing that Oswald murdered Officer Tippit. The police tracked Oswald to the Texas Theater, where he was  overpowered and apprehended by the Dallas Police. Tippit was 39 when he was murdered on November 22, 1963 and would be 89 if still alive.

Jack Ruby – On the day of the assassination Ruby was 53 years old. Ruby would be seen at Parkland Hospital, when President John F. Kennedy was taken there after being seriously wounded. He would be seen again at the Dallas Police station that night. Then on Sunday morning at 11:21 AM Dallas time, Ruby somehow gained entrance to the Dallas Police station, probably with inside help as the entrance he used was mysteriously left unguarded. When Oswald was being led to a vehicle, that was to take Oswald to another jail Ruby stepped in front of Oswald and shot and killed him. Ruby alluded to the fact that people in high places were involved with his murdering Oswald.

This makes me wonder if President Johnson was one of the officials in high places being mentioned. Ruby died on January 3, 1967. He was close friends to Sam and Joe Campisa who were associated with crime boss Carlos Marcello. Jimmy Hoffa reportedly said at one time, that Ruby was to make sure that Oswald was killed by Dallas police, while in their custody. When Ruby failed to insure that Oswald would be killed by the police, then he apparently took on himself to kill Oswald, since his own life could be in jeopardy if Oswald was not killed. Ruby would have been 102 if still alive on March 25.

50 Years Later

With the 50 year anniversary of the JFK assassination approaching in eight months we can only guess at what documents about the assassination may be released in the coming months. The fact that CIA is holding 1,171 top-secret documents about the JFK assassination tells me, that these documents could tell about any conspiracies that may have been involved during the assassination. This is only conjecture, but I think these CIA documents could tie President Lyndon B. Johnson to the assassination. Johnson has been dead for 40 years now, so can’t see any problem with documents being released, even if they connect a former president to the assassination.

I remain a conspiracy theorist, but think the government will continue to keep the JFK assassination documents sealed. The American people deserve to know everything now that 50 years have passed. My personal belief is that these documents lead straight to former President Lyndon B. Johnson and his henchmen.

Will the 50th anniversary come and go, without any documents being released? Even 10-year-old kids at the time of the assassination would be 60 this year. So a middle-aged adult between 30-49 would now be 80-99 years old, so should not be in a government position of power.

How much longer will these documents remain sealed? My only conclusion is that somebody has some dark secrets, that the government doesn’t want released in the near future.

I have no problems with any authors writing books that are pro-conspiracy or anti-conspiracy, but unless the government release these documents we have no hope, of finding out the rest of the story, about what happened in Dealey Plaza on November 22, 1963.

Has TSA Forgotten 9/11 Already?: Knives, Baseball Bats and Golf Clubs To Be Allowed On Planes

Just when we thought it was safe to fly again, after the 9/11 tragedy 12 years ago weapons are being allowed aboard planes.  Knives with two-inch blades will be allowed on planes, along with baseball bats and golf clubs on April 25, unless the change is rescinded, before being put into effect.

Ironically box cutters still will not be allowed on board planes, even though knives can be used as a weapon just like box cutters,  against passengers and flight attendants. TSA apparently thinks hijackers will never be able to enter the pilot’s cabin, due to safety measures put into place since 9/11. However, that doesn’t protect the passengers and flight attendants from being cut by knives and attacked by bats and golf clubs.

Former Transportation Security Administration chief Kip Hawley says he would also allow battle axes and machetes to be carried aboard planes. How could anyone feel safe flying, while knowing that the person in the seat next to them may be a terrorist, that is carrying a knife with them.

What will the TSA personnel checking the belongings of passengers say, when they see someone who looks like a terrorist carrying weapons? The TSA could then face discrimination charges, for not allowing possible terrorists to carry these weapons, then let other passengers board the planes with the same weapons.

I have flown only twice since 9/11 and with these lax rules on weapons I may never fly again. Have we forgotten the terror those airline passengers and crews went through on September 11, 2001? They had to helplessly watch as the terrorists used the planes, for battering rams against the World Trade Center and the Pentagon building. Those passengers met fiery deaths on those planes, when they exploded upon impact.

Allowing these weapons won’t speed up the check-in process at the security gates, since TSA officials will have to closely examine each knife, to see if it is two inches or less and to check the length of baseball bats, which can’t be longer than 24 inches.

Personally, I think the new rules are an invitation to disaster and that terrorists and criminals will take advantage, of the less stringent rules for bringing weapons aboard planes.

We can only hope the Transportation Security Administration thinks over the consequences, before implementing these changes and will rescind the changes before April 25.

Memories of a Lifetime: 1991-1995

1991 – Visited my sister Jane and her family during the summer of 1991 in Pueblo, Colorado. My son Kenny and brother Tom also were on the trip.  My brother Daniel drove us up Pike’s Peak and will never forget how cold it was at the top. The brakes overheated on the way down, so had to let them cool off a few minutes.

Driving through Raton Pass with an altitude of 7,834 in a four-cylinder Toyota was not easy as we gained altitude. Enjoyed the time with my sister and her family while in Colorado. Jane is an executive with the Pueblo Library and we had the chance to visit the library.

911 emergency number was being tested during the year and the airbag was invented. Gasoline was being sold for $1.12 a gallon.

1992 – This was a sad year as my 22 year marriage to Elaine ended, with her moving back to Texarkana, Arkansas. Had to file bankruptcy after she left, so I could pay bills. It would be the first of six years with no air conditioning. We had one, just never used it, since had to choose between air conditioning and eating and eating won that battle. Ate cheese sandwiches most of the time and can’t remember going out to eat during this time.

With the Town Talk garnishing my wages to pay the bankruptcy and paying child support there was little money left for anything, but the bare necessities of life.

The divorce was finalized and it was sad to spend Christmas without the family for the first time since 1972, the year when Steve was born.

Bill Clinton was elected president in 1992 and Miley Cyrus was born and will be 21 in November of 2013.  The cost of gasoline dropped from $1.12 in 1991 to $1.05 in 1992.

1993 – Flew to Knoxville, Tennessee this year with the financial assistance of my brother, to be present when Tusculum College in Greeneville, Tennessee honored my dad by naming a chemistry laboratory after him. Enjoyed hearing his students and others tell of my dad’s contributions to the Chemistry department at Tusculum. Then they served a dinner in his honor, which capped off a great evening.

My daughter Debbie missed by one word of making the National Spelling Bee in 1993. I was there that night in my alma mater Pineville High School auditorium, as she battled round after round before misspelling the final word.

I don’t handle change well and had a major change at Town Talk, when I was moved from composing room to camera shop, after having worked in composing room since 1966. I have to admit I was lost as I had to learn how to operate a full-page camera, tone photos and strip in negatives using the four-color process. The negatives had to have perfectly matched register marks, or the photos would be out of focus, which could be seen easily by readers if not aligned properly.

The price of gasoline rose to $1.16 a gallon, an increase of 11 cents a gallon compared with 1992 prices. Movie tickets had risen to $4.14 and a loaf of bread cost $1.57.

Harley Davidson motorcycles observed their 90th anniversary in 1993, which means they will observe their 110th anniversary in 2013. Beanie babies were first sold in 1993 and are now collector’s items twenty years later.

1994 – Remember watching O.J. Simpson and the low-speed chase by police as they followed him to his home. He was eventually arrested and charged with the murders of Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman. This is the year that Tonya Harding had someone hit her ice skating opponent Nancy Kerrigan in the knee, hoping to gain an advantage over her injured opponent.

Can remember Bud Selig saying the dreaded words that there would be no 1994 World Series, due to a lengthy baseball strike. I had the feeling Selig almost enjoyed cancelling the World Series, as he seemed to be letting the players know that he was in charge.

The cost of gasoline dropped to $1.09 a drop of seven cents from the 1993 price.  The first satellite digital television service was launched in 1994 and Netscape was the leading browser that year.

1995 – College Drive Baptist Church lost their pastor Mark Norwood who had accepted another job with a church in North Louisiana, when Warren Steadman became the pastor that fall.

1995 was one of my favorite years since the Atlanta Braves, who I had been following since 1978 defeated the Cleveland Indians in the 1995 World Series. It was the first Braves win in a World Series, since the 1957 Milwaukee Braves defeated the New York Yankees in the 1957 World Series. The win over the Indians was only the second World Series championship for the Braves in the last 55 years.

Gasoline was still selling at $1.09 the same price as the 1994 price. Postage stamps were now selling for 32 cents. I remember back in 1963, when I was selling stamps for a nickel each and a book of 20 stamps cost only a dollar. 32 years later the same 20 stamp book sold for $6.40. Fast forward to 2013 and stamps are approaching 50 cents a stamp and a book would cost $10 for a 20 stamp book.

The biggest tragedy of 1995 was when a truck bomb exploded, while killing 168 people at the Oklahoma City Federal Building. Timothy McVeigh would later be executed for his part in the crime.

750 Chicagoans would die in a heat wave, when temperatures reached 104 degrees for five straight days.

Windows 95 is released by Microsoft and DVD’s are introduced.

O.J. Simpson is found innocent of the Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman murders and vows to catch the REAL killer. He searched golf courses all over the United States looking for the real killer, but was unsuccessful in locating the killer. He could have saved all that time and energy by looking at the mirror and finding the REAL killer there.

Grocery prices skyrocketed in 1995 as bread was selling for $1.15 a loaf. The days of buying five loaves for a $1 at the bread thrift store were now officially over. Ground coffee could be purchased for $4.07 a pound.

Average income was $35,900 a month except for Town Talk employees. I retired from Town Talk nine years later and never earned more than $28,000 a year, while working for the Town Talk.

Medical Update, LBJ: The Mastermind of The JFK Assassination

MEDICAL UPDATE:

It has been a month-and-a-half since my cancer surgery at the Michael Debakey VA Hospital in Houston. Since then I have learned I was injected with steroid, which causes meningitis and am now close to starting a 24 week chemotherapy program, to try to prevent the duodenal cancer from returning.

LBJ: The  Mastermind of  The JFK Assassination: By Phillip F. Nelson

I have always thought that there was a conspiracy, behind the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. After reading LBJ: The Mastermind of The JFK Assassination, there is no other conclusion in my mind, that Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson orchestrated the planning of the assassination.

Illegal Election Involvement

My thoughts of Johnson until lately were that he was a politician well-skilled, at making whatever political maneuvers necessary to win an election. He lost the 1941 election for the U.S. Senate to W. Lee Daniel, with Daniel winning by a 311 vote margin.

The 1948 Senate election was even closer with Johnson defeating Coke Stevenson by 81 votes, out of a million votes cast. A box of ballots was mysteriously found that gave Johnson the win. George Parr a Democratic boss was the one that found the mysterious ballots, which included 99.1 percent voting for Johnson. Some of the voters were dead Mexicans. Johnson knew exactly what was going on and it was just one of many times, when Johnson would resort to criminal activity, to win an election or to get illegal kickbacks.

The 1954 Senate election was won by Johnson by a wide margin, while defeating Republican Carlos G. Watson, with 84.59 percent of the vote.

Forced JFK To Choose Him As Vice President in 1960

Democratic presidential candidate John F. Kennedy had offered Sen. Stuart Symington the chance, to run as the vice presidential candidate.  at the 1960 Democratic convention in Los Angeles. Johnson who wanted desperately to be the vice president, then proceeded to force JFK into choosing him as his running mate, by threatening to reveal that Kennedy had been running around with some women and had the information in files kept by FBI director J. Edgar Hoover. Kennedy had no choice but to withdraw his offer to Symington and offer Johnson a place on the ticket, though he and his brother Bobby did not want Johnson on their ticket.

It was one of the most crooked elections in the history of the United States, when John F. Kennedy was elected President of the United States. Richard Nixon, his defeated opponent refused to contest the election, even though if he had it may have revealed the extent of criminal activity in the election.

LBJ’s Hitman: Malcolm Wallace

Lyndon B. Johnson had his own personal hitman in Malcolm Wallace. When someone threatened to reveal Johnson’s criminal activity, Wallace would eliminate them, if requested by Johnson. He killed one man by shooting him in the back five times and the defense tried to say it was a suicide and Wallace was freed. The author of the book says Wallace may have been involved in as many as 17 murders, including the murder of Johnson’s own sister, who Johnson feared would disclose secrets about his criminal activity. The most shocking revelation about Wallace was that his fingerprint was found on a box found, on the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository building after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

LBJ: The Unhappy Vice-President

Johnson was not a happy camper as vice president, being shunned by the Kennedy brothers. He was sent on fact-finding trips around the world, to get rid of him for an extended time. This story was not in the book, but I remember reading somewhere, that Johnson was making a speech and Bobby Kennedy forced one of his aides to tell Johnson to cut the speech short. After the aide told Johnson what Bobby Kennedy had requested, he continued to talk for another 15 minutes angering Bobby even more.

Even though he was vice president, the Kennedy brothers would not invite him to important meetings. Worst of all LBJ knew that he probably would not be able to run for president, until JFK and RFK had finished their terms as president.

Assassination Plans Started

It had to be during this time that Johnson formulated a plan to assassinate JFK and replace him as president. He pushed JFK to make a trip to Dallas. Johnson was involved in planning the route of the motorcade. He wanted Jackie Kennedy to ride with him, two cars behind the presidential limousine, but Kennedy refused the offer. LBJ wanted his enemy Senator Ralph Yarbrough to ride with the Kennedys, but that didn’t work out either.

Johnson had everything in place for him to be president. When President Kennedy and his wife Jackie started their day on Friday, November 22, 1963, they didn’t know that President John F.Kennedy would be dead that afternoon.

LBJ Hiding In The Killing Zone

The Kennedys may have not known what was about to happen that day, but Vice President Johnson knowing he was entering the killing zone and that President Kennedy would soon be shot, crouched down inside his limousine two cars behind the Kennedy, to avoid getting hit by a stray bullet. His wife Lady Bird Johnson and Senator Yarbrough were not told about the assassination, so they were sitting up and smiling and waving to the crowd. To think LBJ would put his own safety ahead of his wife’s safety tells me all I need to know about Lyndon Baines Johnson.

One mystery about that day is why the presidential limousine stopped in the middle of the gunfire that was hitting President Kennedy. Another odd thing is that Jack Ruby was seen at Dealey Plaza that day with a gun case and then would show up at the hospital and at the police station before the night was over.

There was an ugly scene at Parkland Hospital, when a gun was pulled on a doctor wanting to autopsy the body, but was overpowered as the body was taken to the airport. Another mystery is why the presidential limousine was cleaned, since it was the crime scene and it was taken to Washington and cleaned some more and wound up being rebuilt to remove any trace of evidence.

LBJ Asks Jackie Kennedy To Stand With Him For Oath

As if Jackie Kennedy hadn’t gone through enough on this day, LBJ then asked her, to stand by him as he was administered the oath of office. Johnson had now achieved his life-long dream of becoming president. Now all he had to do was cover up, what really happened on that November day in 1963.

Warren Report Whitewash

President Johnson adopted the lone nut theory, as soon as Oswald was captured. Oswald himself said he was a patsy, but Jack Ruby never let Oswald tell his story. I am amazed that Ruby was allowed in the police station, without being checked for firearms.

Ruby’s action kept Oswald from implicating any of the people, that were behind the assassination. So Ruby made it easy for the Warren Commission to issue a whitewash of a report, not including any testimony that backed a conspiracy theory.

If Johnson hadn’t become president he may have been sent to prison for criminal activity in the Billie Sol Estes and Bobby Baker scandals, since he became rich from accepting kickbacks. Matter of fact a hearing was being held in Washington on the same day that JFK was assassinated, that featured an insurance salesman named Don Reynolds, who knew that Johnson was involved with criminal activity.

J. Edgar Hoover helped the Warren Commission determine it was a lone gunman that killed President Kennedy, by holding back any information that could show, that it was a conspiracy.

Witnesses before the committee, who didn’t agree with the lone gunman theory were not allowed to have their testimony included in the report.

Summary

We may never have conclusive evidence revealed that Johnson was behind the assassination, but there is a mountain of circumstantial evidence that points only to him. He had the power, had the right connections and definitely had the motive, since he knew his dream of being president would never be realized, unless President Kennedy was eliminated from the picture.

Anyone reading this book may not be swayed to believe that Johnson planned the assassination of JFK, but they will learn the extent to which LBJ would go to have his way.

9/11 Not Mentioned on Front Page of New York Times, New York Post Today,While Today Show Interviews Kris Jenner, Rather Than Show the Moment of Silence Memorializing 9/11

It saddens me that two of the New York City metropolitan papers chose not to mention 9/11. You would think that the New York Times would have mentioned the 11th anniversary, of 9/11,  but they decided it wasn’t important as the other news of the day. However the Times had a scathing article, on their opinion page implying, that President George Bush had foreknowledge or at the least had an idea the country was in danger of a terrorist attack.

The New York Post front page from today seen above features an article about New Y0rk Jets quarterback and his romance with Eva Longoria. The only other article on the front page is about a sex scandal at a girl’s school. Where are the media’s priorities today? Do they actually think these two articles are more important, than remembering 9/11. It is a sad state of affairs that a major New York newspaper, which covered the 9/11 attacks is now acting like it didn’t happen. How soon they forget.

The New York Daily News is to be commended on devoting their front page and 11 inside pages to memorializing September 11. Sure there is other news today, but are any of those articles more important than remembering those who met a fiery death, at the hands of terrorists at the site of the World Trade Center and those that died in other planes? One plane hit the Pentagon killing both passengers and Pentagon workers, who were on the wrong side of the building making them easy targets.

Then to top it all off the NBC Today Show showed an interview with Kris Jenner at the same precise moment, that ABC and CBS and the cable news channels were observing a moment of silence. This Daily Mail article includes a lengthy article about the 9/11 snub by NBC.

Today was the height of absurdity with Mark Sanchez, Eva Longoria  and Kris Jenner in the spotlight, while the 11th anniversary was being ignored by some media outlets. Have we no shame? Have we no decency? It is almost like the media thinks, after the tenth anniversary last year, that those who died tortuous deaths on 9/11 no longer matter and have been relegated to the backburner.

I can’t undo the damage caused by the media today, but I can say those that died on 9/11 should be remembered, as long as there is life on this planet.

The First 48: Realistic Portrait of Homicide Investigations

The First 48 is one of the most realistic reality shows on television. The homicide detectives on the show race against the clock, to solve cases in the first 48 hours, after the crime has been committed.

It makes sense to act swiftly, before the suspect or suspects can find a hiding place from the homicide detectives or leave town. Another reason is that the perpetrators of the crime if there are more than one suspect are likely, to concoct a story so that if questioned by the detectives their stories will be the same.

Complaints About Predominantly Black Suspects

There has been some criticism of the show, for showing cases with mostly black criminals as the suspects. They probably could do a better job on that score, since the show has many more cases with black suspects.

Once the filming begins the show is not going to stop filming, because they find out a suspect is black.

One Suspect Fan of Show

One suspect in a show I watched yesterday looked into the camera and said he was a fan of the show and then said “Hello America”.

You would think a criminal that watches the show would ask for a lawyer from the start of the interrogation, since the detectives are able to obtain confessions if given the chance.

Suspects Forget About Miranda Rights

It is almost like the suspects have forgotten their Miranda rights which say:

You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to speak to an attorney, and to have an attorney present during any questioning. If you cannot afford a lawyer, one will be provided for you at government expense.

However, suspect after suspect will forget about the Miranda rights and forget the part about anything they say could be used against them. Instead they freely give information about a crime

The detectives are smart to not even mention attorneys during the interrogation. You can tell on the show that when a suspect asks for an attorney, that the detectives hate to see a suspect ask for an attorney.

If they are not allowed to ask any more questions, then the suspect is more or less useless to them, because the suspect’s attorney will  tell them to not talk to anyone about the case. They then have to try to find other evidence or witnesses, if the case is not strong enough to take to court.

One suspect on a recent show tired of being yelled at by the detectives and told them he is through and that they can yell at his lawyer.

Pit One Suspect Against Another

Sometimes the homicide detectives on the  will pit one suspect against another, by telling the suspect they are interviewing, that the other suspect or suspects have already told them the truth and that the suspect will find it is to their benefit to tell the truth.

On one show a suspect was being interviewed and says he only knocked on the door of the crime scene house. Later on it was revealed he was the shooter, while he portrayed himself  as an innocent bystander, when first interviewed.

More Than One Crime Scene

Most of the shows have more than one crime being investigated, but some shows do only have one crime investigated. Some of the same detectives will be seen on many shows.

The shows are centered on metropolitan areas like Cincinnati, Memphis, Miami, Houston and other large cities.

Summary 

The First 48 to me is a realistic look at how a homicide investigation is conducted. It shows how leads and tips that are called in, are followed up.

A witness in a homicide case told the detectives where the marijuana was thrown out off an interstate. Traffic was stopped on that side of the interstate, till they could search for the marijuana, but eventually the detectives called off the search.

Then when that witness is questioned again, he reveals that the marijuana was thrown in a garbage can in the neighborhood, where the crime was committed, so the interstate was closed down for nothing and the witness wound up being a suspect and was charged with murder.

Some people may think the show reveals too much about how homicide detectives solve cases and question suspects. A criminal watching the show may learn what not to do, by watching the detectives question suspects. The detectives tell the suspects to tell the truth, but if they do tell the truth they are only incriminating themselves and helping the detectives solve the case.

Anyone watching this show should be forewarned, that it can be very habit-forming, because these are real cases, that are shown from the crime scene till they are charged with murder in most shows.


Disgusted Sponsor Sparked Twenty One Quiz Show Scandal

Herbert Stempel shown stopping the game, that ended his run on Twenty One quiz show. Pay particular attention to the phony baloney spoken by both Stempel and host Jack Barry, since they both were participants in the rigging of the show.
 
The first Twenty One show aired September 10, 1956 and it didn’t go well, because neither contestant knew many of the answers. Pharmaceuticals, Inc. the maker of Geritol sponsored the show and the sponsor was infuriated, threatening to drop their sponsorship of the show if there was a repeat of the first show. That first show would be the only honest show in its two-year run.
 
The producers were desperate to placate the sponsor, so proceeded to tell the contestants, which questions to answer correctly or when to give the wrong answers. This may be the first time a reality show, turned into a non-reality show as nothing was ever real about this show again.
 
Two months later, Twenty One introduced Charles Van Doren, a college professor who competed against a nondescript Herbert Stempel. The producers wrung all the drama possible out of the shows, between the two contestants, but Van Doren eventually emerged victorious over Stempel.
 
Stempel was told to give the wrong answer to the question of which movie had won the 1955 Oscar for Best Picture. It so happened that the answer Marty was one of Stempel’s favorite movies. He could have thrown the show into chaos, since he thought about giving the correct answer, but decided to go along with the producers and give the wrong answer.
 
The show would remain on the air, despite Stempel was saying that the show was rigged. The show was investigated, but there was not enough proof of wrongdoing to take the show off the air.
 
Another quiz show Dotto came under scrutiny when a notebook with all the answers to the questions, for the other contestant was found. This brought a new spotlight on Stempel’s charges and Twenty One ended when Charles Van Doren confessed before a Congressional committee that he had been given the answers.
 
It would be 11 years before Jack Barry hosted another quiz show Generation Gap in 1969, then Barry would be the successful producer-host of The Joker’s Wild. Barry who had created Tic Tac Dough in the 50′s, now produced the Wink Martindale hosted version of the show in the 70′s and 80′s before Barry’s death.
 
Charles Van Doren’s statement about his involvement in the rigging of Twenty One. It is lengthy but takes us inside the mind, of a brilliant college professor who made some bad choices but told the truth to end tormenting himself for not telling the truth.
 
 
Stempel a disgruntled contestant on Twenty One couldn’t prevent himself from disclosing the rigging of the show, despite knowing he would incriminate himself and Charles Van Doren.
 
This is just another reminder that what we see on television is not always real, even if they call it reality television. The sponsor of  Twenty One started the producers down the road of cheating and misleading television viewers. Once they went down that road, there was no turning back.
 
Drama is what sells on television. The sponsor thought nobody wants to see two contestants struggling to guess the right answers, so he scared the bejeebies out of the producers to force them to cheat and manipulate the show to protect their jobs.
 
Nobody would want to watch a reality show like Big Brother if all they did was sit around and talk about the weather. The same goes for quiz shows. It wouldn’t surprise me to hear that one of our quiz shows today has been manipulated to wring out more drama.
 
Viewers, beware of what you are watching, because it may not be real, no matter how much the producers deny they are not manipulating a show.
 
 
 
 

1968-1969: Years of Assassinations, Moonwalks and Protests

 1968 and 1969 were years defined by the assassinations of Dr. Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy, American astronauts being the first to walk on the moon, anti-war protests at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago and the New York Jets and the New York Mets were surprise Super Bowl and World Series winners.

 

Super Bowl II would be won by the Green Bay Packers when they defeated the Oakland Raiders on January 14.

 

Mister Roger’s Neighborhood would be seen for the first time on February 19, 1968.

 

March 16, 1968 would be one of the low points of the Vietnam War when between 374-504 unarmed civilians were killed at My Lai by United States troops. 2nd Lt. William Calley was charged with 22 of the deaths and sentenced to life imprisonment, but only served three-and-a-half years of house arrest.

 

President Lyndon B. Johnson announced on March 31 that he would not be running for president in the 1968 election. His decision resulted in the Democrats only having one president elected in the next 24 years, when Jimmy Carter was elected in 1976. It would be 1993 before Bill Clinton took office as the 42nd president and he would become the first Democratic president to serve two complete terms since Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

 

April 4, 1968 started a year of assassinations and demonstrations, when Dr. Martin Luther King was assassinated on the balcony of his Memphis motel room. Ironically only seven days later the Civil Rights Act bill was passed by Congress, which outlawed racial discrimination, which Dr. King had been fighting before his death.

 

Then only two months and one day after the assassination of Dr. King, Bobby Kennedy was assassinated while celebrating a win in California primary during his 1968 presidential bid. Sirhan Sirhan is arrested for the murder of Kennedy.

 

 If Kennedy had lived to win the Democratic nomination, he may have defeated Richard Nixon in the 1968 election. Instead Nixon defeated Senator Hubert Humphrey by half a million votes.

 

The Yippies led by Jerry Rubin and Abbie Hoffman would descend on Chicago and the streets of Chicago turned into a riot zone as the Yippies and other radical groups battled Chicago police, U.S. Army and National Guard, while the Democratic convention was being held.

 

The chaos on the streets of Chicago poured onto the Democratic Convention floor when Senator Abraham Ribicoff denounced the use of Gestapo tactics in the streets of Chicago. His remarks enraged Mayor Richard Daley of Chicago would could be seen yelling at Ribicoff.

 

Anti-war protesters in Chicago may have hurt their own cause. In retrospect they may have protested at the wrong convention since the Democrats were more on their side than the Republicans. The Republican convention in Miami was turmoil free, in contrast to the chaos in Chicago.

 

Richard Nixon would go on to defeat Senator Humphrey in the general election.

 

1969 was another year with many newsworthy events and January 12 of 1969 would see the New York Jets defeat the Baltimore Colts 16-7, after Jets quarterback Joe Namath had predicted the Jets would upset the Colts.

 

Richard Nixon would take office as the 37th president on January 20. The Beatles who had first sang in America almost five years ago would hold their last public concert on January 30.

 

Sirhan Sirhan admits assassinating Bobby Kennedy on March 3. Ironically seven days later James Earl Ray would plead guilty to assassinating Dr. Martin Luther King. Later that month former President Dwight D. Eisenhower died on March 28, 8 years after finishing his second term as president.

 

The first American troop withdrawals of the Vietnam War were made on July 8. Senator Teddy Kennedy would end any hope of becoming president, when he drove his car off a bridge on July 18, in what became known as the Chappaquiddick incident. Mary Jo Kopechne would die at the age of 28 in the submerged car.

 

Two days later on July 20, Neil Armstrong became the first man to walk on the moon, when the lunar module Eagle landed on the moon. It had to be ranked as one of the biggest stories of the 20th century. The first flight by the Wright Brothers in 1903 would have been another major advance in the 20th century. Their flight led to commercial flights by airlines in later years.

 

August 9, 1969 was a day of violence as Charles Manson followers killed actress Sharon Tate and four others. The next day August 10, they would murder Leno and Rosemary LaBianca in their home.

 

August 15, 1969 will always be remembered as the day the Woodstock Music Festival kicked off on Max Yasgur’s farm in Bethel, New York. The promoters were expecting 50,000 fans, but those numbers were very conservative, considering 500,000 fans showed up.

 

August 17 would be another deadly day, this time because of Hurricane Camille which hit the Mississippi coast killing 248 people and causing damage of $1.5 billion.

 

The first ATM was installed in Rockville Centre, New York on September 2, while on the same day Ho Chi Minh, leader of North Vietnam died.

 

The Chicago Eight trial begin on September 24 in Chicago, but was changed to the Chicago Seven, when Bobby Seale a Black Panther was sentenced to four-year sentence for contempt of court.

 

Another New York sports team would win a championship, when the New York Mets defeated the Baltimore Orioles in the World Series. Seven years earlier the Mets had been the laughingstock of baseball when they posted a 40-120 record in 1962.

 

On a lighter note Sesame Street would be seen for the first time on the National Education Network on November 10.

 

While 250,000-500,000 demonstrators were protesting against the war in Washington, D.C. on November 15, Dave Thomas is busy opening the first Wendy’s in Columbus Ohio.

 

American astronauts would walk on the moon, only four months after the initial landing, four months prior to the Apollo 12 landing. Pete Conrad and Alan Bean would both walk on the moon.

 

With the year drawing to a close, a draft lottery was put in place on December 1 and would be the last major event of 1969.

Random Thoughts on JFK Assassination 48 Years Later

It is hard to comprehend that 48 years have passed, since President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas on Nov. 22, a Friday morning that will live forever in history.  I was subbing for the company postal clerk, who was on vacation, for the 25th Administration Company of the 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii on that date and was the first to tell the company commander about the president being shot, after hearing the news on the radio. Meanwhile the regular postal clerk was flying military standby back to the mainland. He was trying to make a connection to New York City, from California, but was routed to Dallas, Texas of all places, arriving there about the time of the assassination.

Reading Warren Commission Report

I had a copy of the Warren Commission Report, that I had never really read until this last week. President Johnson commissioned the report a week after the assassination.

President Johnson was eager to have the Warren Report released, as soon as possible, to avoid having it contain any conspiracy theories, that might create doubt among the American public.

There is plenty of circumstantial evidence, that makes it appear that Lee Harvey Oswald fired the rifle, from the six floor window, of the Texas Schoolbook Depository building. Some witnesses on the ground reportedly saw a figure holding a gun, but as far as I know, nobody identified that figure as being Oswald. It is doubtful anyone could see someone inside a sixth story window, then be able to identify that person, since only their arms and the gun would be seen.

I am not saying that Oswald didn’t fire the shots, that killed President Kennedy and also wounded Texas Governor John Connally. He just appeared to be the one most likely to have fired the shots.

Lee Harvey Oswald: Portrait Of An Assassin

Lee Harvey Oswald had all the credentials of an assassin. He was a loner, that was an activist in liberal causes. He was a frustrated individual, who never really fit in with most political groups. He was living in Russia, thinking he had found a better way of living, but left when he saw their government didn’t care about the little people like him.

It wasn’t until after the assassination, that it was found out, that Oswald had attempted to shoot General Edwin Walker in his Dallas home on May 10, 1963. This shooting and the Kennedy assassination, proved that Oswald would just as soon shoot a conservative like Walker as well as a liberal like Kennedy.

By now everyone knows, that Oswald who never had a driver’s license told his co-worker Wesley Frazier, that he needed to go to Irving, Texas to pick up some curtain rods. He normally went to Irving on Fridays, but he needed those “curtain rods” for work on Friday, ostensibly to kill the president of the United States. Everyone also knows now, that those “curtain rods’ turned out to be the Mannlicher-Carcano rifle found inside the sixth story window, of the Texas Schoolbook Depository building.

Why was Oswald in Mexico City two months before the assassination? It is still a mystery, to my knowledge, what he was doing in Mexico City. It is known that he was trying to secure a visa to Cuba through the Cuban embassy, but there is little record of what he was actually doing in Mexico City. There are even reports that another individual, had used Oswald’s name, during the time he was in Mexico City. If there was a conspiracy, this may have been where it was planned.

Patrolman M.L. Baker was in the Texas Schoolbook Depository, looking for the shooter, when he encountered Oswald in the lunchroom. Oswald from the reports I have read, showed no signs of being under duress, while Baker was holding a gun on him. His coolness in that situation sealed the fate of both Officer J.D. Tippit, who would be killed less than an hour later, when he stopped Oswald on a Dallas street. If Oswald had exhibited any fright or seemed to be in distress, it is likely that Patrolman Baker would have arrested him in the lunchroom.

Oswald would have been without a weapon and presumably would have been taken to the police station without incident. However, Oswald may have tried to take the policeman’s gun, which could have been deadly.

There are so many incidents that day that could have changed history. Officer Tippit could have just as easily killed Oswald, instead of being gunned down himself by Oswald. That would have prevented the circus that ensued at the police station, after Oswald was arrested at the theater. History would have changed if Officer Tippit had stopped Oswald before he had a chance to receive his gun from the North Beckley residence.

Oswald allegedly fired his first shot at President Kennedy at 12:30 PM Dallas time. He encounters Patrolman Baker in the lunchroom and is leaving the Texas Schoolbook Depository by 12:33 PM. The building is reportedly sealed at 12:48, enabling Oswald to make his getaway. President Kennedy arrives at Parkland Hospital at 12:38 PM. Dallas Police homicide chief, who is awaiting the arrival of President Kennedy calls at 12:51 to ask if Kennedy is still coming to the Trade Mart for the luncheon in his honor, but is told it is very doubtful and in reality, Kennedy was dead nine minutes later.

By 1:00 Oswald has killed Officer Tippit and is seen entering the Texas Theater, while President Kennedy is being pronounced dead at that same minute.

Dallas police car #207 honks horn twice outside the Oswald house. This doesn’t sound very believable, so may not have even happened. Since when do police warn a criminal that they are outside their house?

The following timeline gives an interesting look at the events of that day. However, it can’t be taken too seriously accuracy wise, as it has Oswald arriving at the Texas Theater,  ten minutes before Officer Tippit is found dead in the street, which doesn’t sound right to me.

Rose Cheramie was en route to Dallas with some other criminal types and said this about her reasons for being in Dallas:

“She said she was going to, number one, pick up some money, pick up her baby, and to kill Kennedy.” (p. 9 of Fruge’s 4/18/78 deposition)

While at the hospital Cheramie predicted the precise moment the assassination would take place:

At the hospital, Cheramie again predicted the assassination. On November 22nd, several nurses were watching television with Cheramie. According to these witnesses, “…during the telecast moments before Kennedy was shot Rose Cheramie stated to them, ‘This is when it is going to happen’ and at that moment Kennedy was assassinated. The nurses, in turn, told others of Cheramie’s prognostication.” (Memo of Frank Meloche to Louis Ivon, 5/22/67. Although the Dallas motorcade was not broadcast live on the major networks, the nurses were likely referring to the spot reports that circulated through local channels in the vicinity of the trip. Of course, the assassination itself was reported on by network television almost immediately after it happened.) Further, according to a psychiatrist there, Dr. Victor Weiss, Rose “…told him that she knew both Ruby and Oswald and had seen them sitting together on occasions at Ruby’s club.” (Ibid., 3/13/67) In fact, Fruge later confirmed the fact that she had worked as a stripper for Ruby. (Louisiana State Police report of 4/4/67.)

You would think someone who accurately predicted the moment President Kennedy would be shot, would be taken more seriously by the Warren Commission, but then that would back up the conspiracy theorists, which the Warren commission avoided at all costs.

It is not so much a matter if Oswald shot Kennedy but more of a matter, of was he aided by a conspiracy. Kennedy had a myriad of enemies, who wanted him dead. They included the unions, mobsters, Castro, KGB, possibly the CIA who were peeved at Kennedy for withdrawing air support for the Bay of Pigs Invasion. Even President Johnson has been mentioned as someone, who would like to see Kennedy dead, since he had the most to gain (the presidency). One online report even states that Oswald was seen at Johnson’s ranch in Mexico. That may be a false report, but worth looking into.

Jack Ruby Becomes Prosecutor and Jury, Killing Oswald

Dallas nightclub owner Jack Ruby, showed up at the police station on the Friday night of the assassination, to see the Oswald press conference. Ruby became emotionally distraught over the death of Kennedy and decided the American people would never have the chance to know if there was a conspiracy, behind the assassination of Kennedy.

Ruby singlehandedly started a wave of books about the assassination, since Americans would never know about any conspiracies, since Oswald was dead and dead men tell no tales.

Hundreds of books have been written about the assassination. The Warren Commission Report has focused on proving that Oswald was the lone gunman in Dallas 48 years ago. They seemed to have glossed over any conspiracy theories. Oswald was a very shady character, who was all over the place and may have been covering up for some sinister group of conspiracists.

It is still a mystery of how Ruby was in the basement of the Dallas Police station on Sunday, November 24 and how he got in there. He reportedly arrived in the basement a couple of minutes before Oswald was to be moved to another facility.

Ruby said he killed Oswald, because he hated that Jackie Kennedy would have to return to Dallas for the trial of Lee Harvey Oswald.

Summary

I am not saying that the Warren Commission was a complete cover-up, but it seemed to be intent, on promoting the lone gunman theory. By not admitting a conspiracy was possible, it took a lot of the enemies of Kennedy off the hook, including the new president Lyndon B. Johnson, who was relegated to being a do-nothing vice president, until Kennedy’s death, propelled him to the presidency.

He was no longer the second banana to President Kennedy and his inner circle. The only reason Kennedy chose Johnson as a running mate, was so that he could garner some southern votes, attracted by Johnson being on the ticket as vice-president.

After 48 years, there is still no smoking gun that I know of that points to anyone besides Oswald being the assassin. I have heard for years about shots coming from the grassy knoll, but don’t think it is even mentioned in the Warren Report.

There are a lot of what-ifs that came into play on November 22, 1963:

What if it had rained that day and the bubble-top would have been down, ruining any chance of any assassin shooting the president?

What if Patrolman Baker would have arrested Oswald before leaving the schoolbook depository, which would have saved the life of Officer Tippit?

What if someone had walked in on the shooter from the sixth floor window seconds before the first shot?

What if the Dallas Police department had kept the crowds under control at the police station, during the interrogation of Oswald?

What if someone had stopped Ruby from entering the basement of the police station?

What if someone had taken Rose Cheramie seriously and prevented the assassination?

Big Brother 13: Rachel Reilly Wins Big Brother 13, Did CBS Manipulate the Game?

Rachel Reilly won Big Brother 13 in a year of surprises on the CBS reality show.

Her boyfriend Brendon Villegas, Jeff Schroeder, Jordan Lloyd and Shelly Moore cast their votes for her making Rachel a 4-3 winner with Adam Poch, Danielle Donato and Kalia Booker voting for the losing Porsche Briggs.

Rachel had won the final HOH by answering questions about the house guests in the juror house and won the questions competition over Porsche.

The turning point in the game to me was when Porsche opened Pandora’s Box and won $5,000 for herself and $5,000 for Kalia. However, by her accepting the money she unleashed the duo twist in the veto competition that week.

With Rachel and Jordan on the block, Rachel won the veto and removed herself and Jordan off the block and set in motion, for Rachel to win $500,000 last night.

Did CBS Manipulate the Game in Favor of Rachel?

Viewers of the show will wonder if the CBS producers, manipulated the game so Rachel and Jordan remain in the game longer. If Rachel had left the house that week, the ratings for the show probably would have plummeted. Rachel provided most of the drama this year, so without drama the ratings would have almost certainly dropped. Instead Big Brother 13 had some of the highest ratings in the history of the show.

Then when Rachel found Pandora’s Box during her last reign of being HOH, the prizes were good and bad, but nothing to affect the game. Rachel was stuck with the egotistical maniac Jessie Godderz, the professional wrestler while she watched Adam and the other house guests spending time with Tori Spelling. Later she watched as they went shopping for clothes outside the Big Brother house.

My question is why didn’t Rachel have an equally bad punishment, as Porsche for opening Pandora’s Box. Sure having to spend time with Jessie was punishment in itself, but nothing like the punishment Porsche received when both of her nominated house guests were allowed to be removed from the block by the duo twist, when Rachel won the veto.

Game Winnings

This may or may not be the correct total of winnings on Big Brother 13 but since it is $600,000 exactly it may correct:

Rachel Reilly –     $500,000

Key to Rachel Winning Big Brother 13

The key to Rachel winning was that after Brendon left the last time, that Rachel played more of a social game. She abandoned her earlier strategy, of infuriating the other house guests with her catty remarks.

Rachel fought overwhelming odds by winning HOH”s and Veto competitions, when she needed them to stay alive in the game. It may be that when Brendon left the house, that it forced her to play a different kind of game.

Porsche Briggs Wins $50,000 in Finale

Porsche Briggs won $50,000 on Big Brother 13 finale.

Porsche Briggs won second prize money of $50,000 last night to go with the $5,000 she received from Pandora’s Box for a total of $55,000 in winnings during Big Brother 13.

For most of the season Porsche was the anonymous house guest, but then later in the game, came into her own and was a fierce competitor. She finished second in many competitions, then started winning competitions near the end of the game.

Big Brother 13 Summary: Big Brother 13 started out with eight new house guests, then the duo twist was introduced and Jeff Schroeder, Jordan Lloyd, Evel Dick Donato, Danielle Donato, Brendon Villegas and Rachel Reilly entered the house.  Evel Dick let the house after only six days for some mysterious reason which was never revealed. It may have been just as well, since he had gall bladder surgery in the last few days, so may not have been able to finish the season anyway.

Rachel and Brendon started the game with a chip on their shoulders, playing the game way too personally. I particularly recall Cassi and Kalia trying to have a civil conversation with Brendon and he turned the whole conversation around, acting very hostile toward both of them. The worst thing is that Kalia was wanting to know if she was still included in their alliance, but by the time the conversation was over, Brendon was calling her a liar. So he lost an alliance member, by his failure to communicate with Kalia on a normal level.

Shelly and Adam seemed to be with the veterans, but then when it suited them they would switch to the other side. Danielle’s alliance with Dominic was one of the bigger mistakes of the game. All she succeeded in was causing Dominic to go home.

Kalia, instead of going along with Danielle during Kalia’s first HOH, decided to show she was her own woman and nominated Lawon, who was not a threat to anyone. Lawon was the worst player this year and a terrible competitor, but Shelly was an even worse competitor. She played further into the game, but still never won the first competition.

When Jeff left, Rachel and Jordan were left to fend for themselves, since Brendon had been nominated and evicted for the second time. Shelly was caught in a lie by Jordan and Rachel and that spelled the end for Shelly, even though she wasn’t evicted for another couple of weeks.

As stated earlier, Porsche put her alliance in jeopardy by taking the $5,000 in Pandora’s box. That is the point at which Rachel and Jordan got an extra week in the house, when it looked like either Rachel or Jordan was going home that week.

Adam talked a good game, but didn’t win anything on his own, till very late in the game. Even at the end he was talking about having to win a competition, then he would lose the competition. Men did not do well in the endurance competitions, as Danielle and Rachel won the endurance competitions.

Rachel deserved to win, even though CBS gave her some assistance with the Pandora’s Box coming into play. That wasn’t her fault since she played the cards she was dealt with and turned it into $500,000. Rachel and Brendon should now have the money for their big wedding and the money should help with Brendon’s studies as he tries for his Ph.D.

The house guests for the most part will disappear back into society, like they usually do after their season is over, with most of them never heard from again.

Two months from now, it will be difficult to even find anything about what they are doing by doing a Google search.

Big Brother 13 started July 7 and the season will end Wednesday night after a season in which veterans of past Big Brother seasons competed against eight newbies.

Porsche Briggs of the newbies side will battle veteran Rachel Reilly to see which one will win the final HOH of the season. Rachel had won Part 1 of the HOH, while Porsche defeated Adam Poch in Part 2, setting up Wednesday’s battle.

Rachel and Porsche apparently plan to take each other to the final two, as of today at least, but that could change.

It seems to me that a smarter game move for Rachel or Porsche would be to take Adam to the final two. It would almost insure them of winning the $500,000 since Adam has not done much, in the way of winning competitions till lately.

On the other hand Porsche and Rachel, have been better overall competitors, with Rachel winning three HOH’s and Porsche trying to win most of her competitions, since she finished second so often.

This is all still conjecture, since it depends on who wins Part 3 and what their decision will be on Wednesday night. If Porsche or Rachel think it through, they may realize taking Adam to final two, would be the smart thing to do financially.

There is only 2 days and 12 hours from this minute on Monday morning, till the last show will be televised.

If there was any doubt that the producers manipulated the show this season, it was removed when Porsche couldn’t resist taking the $5,000 for herself from Pandora’s Box. CBS knew it would be too tempting for Porsche to pass up the chance to win the money. They also knew by unleashing the duo twist again, that it would keep two of their biggest drawing cards on the show, in Rachel and Jordan. Rachel true to form won the veto and saved her or Jordan from going home that week.

Then when Rachel opens Pandora’ s Box, Tori Spelling and Jessie Godderz were unleashed on the house, which didn’t affect the game at all. Will never forget Rachel watching the other house guests talking to Tori and shopping for free clothes, while Jessie is trying to distract her by posing and giving her products with his name on them.

This has to be one of the most successful shows ever, in the ratings and we undoubtedly will see CBS producers manipulate the show even more in the future to keep the high ratings.

Jordan Lloyd was evicted from Big Brother 13 when Porsche Briggs sent her home last night.

Porsche Briggs made an incredibly stupid game move last night, by sending Jordan Lloyd home. Why send home the worst competitor moments before the HOH endurance competition began?

Porsche’s reasoning was that Jordan had already won the half million dollars two years ago, on Big Brother 11. However by sending her home, she let a fierce competitor in Rachel remain in the game.

Then the HOH endurance started and Adam dropped after only 25 minutes. Porsche dropped before Rachel, who didn’t drop until 40 minutes into the endurance competition.

If Porsche had kept Jordan in the game, she probably would have won Part 1 of the three-part HOH competition, if Rachel had been evicted. She was so intent on evicting Jordan for winning the half million two years ago, she forgot that she was hurting her own chances of winning this year.

Porsche and Adam Play Part 2 of HOH Today

Now Porsche and Adam will play in Part 2 of the HOH competition today, with the winner playing against Rachel in the live finale on CBS, at 8:30 PM Central time next Wednesday. There will be no show on Sunday, so only one show remains in the Big Brother 13 season.

Rachel can take it easy till the live show, so has five days to study for the finale, assuming Part 3 will be questions, but that is not a certainty.

Veterans Took Control Early

The veterans took early control of the game after Evel Dick walked off the show on the sixth day. Keith, Cassi and Dominic were evicted in successive weeks, then Danielle evicted Brendon in the fourth week. Then Danielle evicted Brendon the first time on Day 34. However Brendon re-entered the house on Day 41, battling Lawon for the chance to re-enter the house and Brendon won, which sealed Lawon’s fate, evicting him from the game.

Danielle was evicted the following week, while Jeff, Shelly and Kalia were evicted in order, then Jordan was evicted last night, leaving only Porsche, Rachel and Adam, in the final three.

Porsche Makes Huge Mistake

Porsche made one of the biggest mistakes of the season, by opening Pandora’s box. She received $5,000 and gave another $5,000 to Kalia, but she unleashed a return to the duo twist for the veto game.

Jordan or Rachel would have gone home that week, but instead Rachel won the veto and removed Jordan and herself, from the block.

Producers Manipulated Game

When the duo twist was brought back into the game to save Rachel and Jordan from going on the block, it was a move by producers to keep the TV ratings high. If Rachel had been sent home that week, the ratings would have tumbled with little or no drama in the house.

The producers did a great job of manipulating the game to garner the highest ratings. It was a given that Rachel would win the donut competition for HOH, considering the competition, since Porsche the outgoing HOH couldn’t play. Her 20 donuts doubled Kalia’s total of 10, showing that Kalia doesn’t do well in competitions that involve movement.

Five Days to Finale

The last five days will be very boring in the Big Brother house except for Part 2 of the HOH competition today. Once that is over there will be only one competition left. Rachel has already insured that she will participate in Part 3 next Wednesday.

Right now Rachel is in a great place and if she wins Part 3, she will insure that she wins either the half million dollars or $50,000. Rachel played a better social game in the last few weeks and has dropped her catty attitude, which may help her receive more votes from the jury house.

Big Brother 13: Spoiler Updates Since Wednesday’s Show

Porsche Briggs and Rachel Reilly are the strongest competitors remaining in the Big Brother 13 house and may face each other and another contestant in the HOH endurance tonight.

And then there were four….With Kalia being evicted out of the Big Brother 13 house, that left Adam, Rachel, Porsche and Jordan as the final four.

Adam won HOH before the show ended last night. Adam nominated Porsche and Jordan for eviction. It is not clear when the POV ceremony will be, but Porsche is expected to take herself off the block and Adam would be forced to replace her with Rachel going on the block.

Porsche shown ironing what may be her eviction dress for tonight's show she is expecting to be evicted tonight.

Porsche will be the only voter and she is leaning toward evicting Jordan, since she won two years ago. I can understand her reasoning, but is it smart to keep a strong competitor like Rachel in the game, who is likely going to be her toughest competitor in the endurance portion of HOH tonight.

She may make a $50,000 or $500,000 mistake by keeping Rachel in the game. She might beat Rachel if they are in the final two, but she has no guarantee of reaching the final two, so evicting Jordan who is not much of a competitor could keep her out of the money. So what if Jordan has won before….that is not a good reason to make a stupid game move of her own.

I doubt Jordan and Adam would offer much competition for Porsche in the endurance HOH, but with Rachel who is the most athletic, of any of the  three remaining contestants,  if Jordan is convicted Porsche may regret sending Jordan home, if she does.

Jury House Confrontation

Last night we saw that Jeff has not forgiven or forgotten Shelly’s part in his eviction. It used to be that the jury house was sort of oasis, in which the contestants could forget the game, but looks like that has changed this season.

You would think that with no chance of winning the game, that those in the jury house would just cool it and enjoy the swimming pool and other amenities available at the jury house.

Pandora’s Box Just A Producer’s Tool

It was never more evident that Pandora’s box is nothing more than a producer’s tool to manipulate the game when punishment inflicted on the house resulted in Rachel and Jordan staying in the game. They knew Porsche would take the money, so they switched back to the couples format for one week, to give Rachel and Jordan a chance to stay in the game.

Next thing you knew Rachel won the POV and stayed in the game. The producers didn’t want Rachel leaving the show that soon, so they took matters into their own hands. If Rachel had left then, the house would likely be a house with no drama. Fans don’t tune into the show to see no drama, because that means lower ratings, so CBS stepped in and solved that problem.

However, when Rachel opened Pandora’s Box the house didn’t receive a punishment, but instead got to talk to Tori Spelling and go on a shopping spree for clothes. Rachel got the punishment having to put up with the repugnant Jessie Godderz, who has appeared in Big Brother four times.

He has appeared twice as a contestant and twice as a Pandora’s Box booby prize. It would only be fair to unleash something detrimental to Rachel’s game, like they did to Porsche and her alliance.

I can’t recall another Big Brother season, in which CBS manipulated the show, to the extent they have this season. They have found out if they manipulate the show, that higher ratings result.

Six Days Remain Till Finale

Only six days remain till the jury decides which of the remaining two contestants wins the $500,000. If Jordan is evicted tonight, Rachel, Porsche and Adam will battle for the final two spot. Two of them will be in the money this season while the other only takes memories out of the Big Brother house, but no cash.

Jeff and Jordan should be reunited tomorrow at the jury house if she is the one evicted.

We will find out tonight what the HOH endurance contest will be this season. It could be a long night in the endurance contest or it could be over in a hurry like they have recently.

Tune in CBS at 8:00 PM for tonight’s show. President Obama’s speech should not affect the starting time of Big Brother.

9/11 Remembered 10 Years Later

A second plane prepares to hit the south tower of the World Trade Center while the north tower is already in flames from being hit earlier.

Ten years have passed since Americans felt the impact of terrorism in a way never experienced before. Most of us can recall where we were and what we were doing that Tuesday morning of September 11, 2001.

I had called the mechanic about the progress being made on our car, when he told me to turn on the television and it would stay on the rest of the day. Little did I know how many Americans would lose their lives that day at the hand of  terrorists.

Five Hijackers Board  Flight 11 

The day started in Boston with Mohamed Atta and al-Omari boarding American Airlines Flight 11 at 7:35 AM travelling from Boston to Los Angeles. Five minutes later three more hijackers board the plane. The flight leaves Logan International Airport at 7:59 AM. The first evidence of a hijacking being in progress, was when orders to climb to 35,000 feet were ignored.

Betty Ong, a flight attendant on Flight 11 informs American Airlines that a hijacking is in progress at 8:19 AM. At 8:26 Flight 11 makes a 100 degree turn and is now travelling on a path to New York City.

Three More Planes Boarded By Hijackers

While Flight 11 was en route to New York City, hijackers boarded three more planes. United Airlines Flight 175 departs from Boston and is also originally headed for Los Angeles leaving at 8:14 AM with five hijackers aboard the flight.  Six minutes later a third plane, American Airlines Flight 77 would leave Dulles International Airport in Washington for Los Angeles at 8:20 AM with five hijackers aboard.

At 8:42 AM the fourth plane, United Airlines Flight 93  would depart from Newark International Airport with a original destination of San Francisco, with four hijackers aboard.

Flight 11 Hits North Tower

Two F-15′s were scrambled from Otis Air National Guard Base in Massachusetts to intercept Flight 11, but seconds later at 8:46 the plane hit the north tower at 446 MPH and loaded with fuel since it was headed to Los Angeles.

The impact of the plane and the burning fuel knocked three stairwells out, leaving those in the floors above hopelessly trapped with no way out.

As many as 250 or as few as 100 people jumped to their deaths, rather than being caught in the fiery inferno inside the burning building.

CNN is the first national network to break the story on the plane hitting the World Trade Center at 8:49 AM. Carol Lin the CNN anchor made this announcement:

This just in. You are looking at obviously a very disturbing live shot there. That is the World Trade Center, and we have unconfirmed reports this morning that a plane has crashed into one of the towers of the World Trade Center. CNN Centerright now is just beginning to work on this story, obviously calling our sources and trying to figure out exactly what happened, but clearly something relatively devastating happening this morning there on the south end of the island of Manhattan. That is once again, a picture of one of the towers of the World Trade Center.

President Bush is appraised of the situation while visiting Emma E. Booker Elementary School, in Sarasota, Florida at 8:55 AM. This was before the second tower had been hit. He was probably told of the other flights still in the air that were being hijacked. However, presidential advisor Karl Rove told the president that the airplane was a small twin engine aircraft.

Calls like this which was made at 9:00 AM would be one of many, made by passengers to their loved ones that day:

9:00: Lee Hanson receives a second call from his son Peter, aboard Flight 175: “It’s getting bad, Dad. A stewardess was stabbed. They seem to have knives and Mace. They said they have a bomb. It’s getting very bad on the plane. Passengers are throwing up and getting sick. The plane is making jerky movements. I don’t think the pilot is flying the plane. I think we are going down. I think they intend to go to Chicago or someplace and fly into a building. Don’t worry, Dad. If it happens, it’ll be very fast. My God, my God.” The call ends abruptly, as Lee Hanson hears a woman scream.[6]

At 9:02 Flight 175 hits the south tower at a speed of 590 miles per hour. The plane’s impact caused parts of the plane to fall to the ground, as many as six blocks away.

The president enters a classroom to read The Pet Goat, when Chief of Staff, Andrew Card informs him of a second building being hit at 9:05.

Osama bin Laden is mentioned as a probable suspect in a CBS News report at 9:17 AM. At 9:26 AM all civilian planes are forbidden to take off by the FAA.

Hijackers Take Over Flight 93

Flight controllers in Cleveland hear the Flight 93 cockpit being taken over by hijackers at 9:28. The tower supervisor at Reagan International Airport discloses to the Secret Service at the White House that a plane is heading their way and is not talking to the tower at 9:33 AM. A minute later the tower would call the Secret Service again, to inform them that the plane was now headed to the airport.

At 9:37 AM Flight 77 crashes into the western side of the Pentagon building killing 64 passengers and 125 Pentagon personnel.

Three of the hijacked planes had hit their targets from 8:46 when the first plane hit the north tower of the World Trade Center to the Pentagon building being hit at 9:37.

Flight 93 crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania after passengers fought with hijackers.

Attention Focuses On Flight 93

With Flight 93 being the only one of the hijacked planes still in the air, its flight path was being watched closely. The gravity of the situation is shown by the White House and Capitol building being evacuated at 9:43 AM.

The following intelligence was gathered that made it almost a certainty that Osama bin Laden was behind the attacks:

9:52: The National Security Agency intercepts a phone call between a known associate of Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan and someone in the Republic of Georgia, announcing that he had heard “good news”, and that another target was still to be hit.[17]

President Boards Air Force One

President George Bush leaves Sarasota-Bradenton Airport for an undisclosed location. With the uncertainty of not knowing what other attacks may be planned, it may have been best for the president to be in the air when his plane took off at 9:57 AM. Two minutes later at 9:59 AM the south tower collapses in New York City.

Meanwhile, the passenger revolt began on Flight 93 at 9:59 AM. The passengers now knew that their plane was going to be the next plane used to hit a building, so decided to rush the cockpit and gain control of the plane.

Flight 93 would crash at 10:03 apparently because of the fighting in the cockpit, between the passengers and hijackers. The flight crashed 80 miles southeast of Pittsburgh in Somerset County, Pennsylvania.

We may never know for sure, what the target of Flight 93 was but it probably would have been either the Capitol building or the White House.

The north Tower collapsed at 10:28 AM 29 minutes after the south tower collapsed, even though the north tower had been hit 18 minutes, before the south tower had been hit.

The president arrives at Barksdale Air Force in Shreveport, Louisiana at 1:04 PM. He says in a statement, that the United States will hunt down and punish those responsible for the attacks.

President Bush lands at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, Nebraska at 2:50 PM  and departs at 4:36 PM.

At 5:30 PM a third building the 7 World Trade Center would collapse. It was a 47 story structure.

The president lands at the White House at 6:54 PM.

The aftermath of 9/11

United States citizens were in a state of shock after the events of September 9, 2011. Churches noticed a surge in attendance immediately. Senior Pastor Ed Young of Fellowship Church in Dallas, Texas has this to say about the increased attendance:

“After 9/11 we had 20-some odd thousand people show up,” said Senior Pastor Ed Young. “The largest crowd in the history of Fellowship Church and when I walked on stage I looked around and said, ‘Where have you guys been? It takes something like this for you to show up to church?’”

But the pews were soon a bit roomier.

“I was disappointed somewhat that more didn’t stick because we dropped to 16 or 17 thousand the next weekend and then the weekend after that to about 14,500,” he said.

Young goes on further to say:

Young attributes the initial attendance spike to human nature. “I think when we are riddled with fear, when things fall apart around us especially when we are struck at the heart of who we are, people suddenly respond and they’re turning to God and asking those deep questions in an even deeper way,” he said.

“When things are going bad we want to turn to God and want to get right with him and we want to attend to church,” Young said. “When things level out we tend to forget the most important things and drift away.”

Many Heroes on 9/11

There are no words to express thanks to the New York Fire Department and Police Department sufficiently for those that gave their lives that day trying to save others.

While others were rushing to safety down the stairs of the Twin Tower buildings, they were rushing up the stairs facing almost certain death. They may not have known it at the time, since the buildings were not expected to collapse.

Still they climbed up stairwell after stairwell to do what they could to save lives. Many personnel in the FDNY and NYPD died on 9/11 putting others ahead of their own personal safety, while jeopardizing their own lives.

Then after the buildings fell, the fire personnel began the slow agonizing process, of trying to find survivors, under the rubble of the World Trade Center.

Flight 93 Heroes

The passengers on Flight 93 who fought with the hijackers will always be regarded as heroes, since they may have died, but succeeded in preventing the plane from hitting the Capitol or White House, which were likely the next target of the hijackers.

They already knew what had happened with the other hijacked planes hitting buildings in New York City and Washington, D.C. They gave their lives knowing the odds were against them, but still made a charge at the cockpit to force the hijackers to lose control of the plane and crash.

Casualties of 9/11

2,606 died in World Trade Center connected deaths and 125 more died at the Pentagon crash site. 246 passengers died on the hijacked planes for a total of 2,977 deaths on 9/11. This is not an accurate count since we may never know how many died at the World Trade Center.

The New York Fire Department lost 341 personnel and 2 paramedics. The New York Police Department lost 23 officers on 9/11.

Thoughts on 9/11

When I think of 9/11 I think of those people jumping to a certain death, the families and friends that knew their loved ones were in the building and wondering if they would ever see them again. I think of fire personnel running up the stairs with many pounds of equipment as they saw those fleeing to safety coming down the stairs.

I think of the friends and families talking to their loved ones on the ill-fated flights that would lead to their deaths. The ones in the buildings and planes telling their loved ones that they loved them one last time.

I think of the ones that called in sick or were late to work that day at the World Trade Center and the ones who might have been called in to work on their day off.

I think of how many more lives would have been lost if the planes had hit in the middle of the buildings instead of toward the top, which would have sealed off 40 or 50 floors, preventing any chance to escape.

I think of those fleeing the scene when the buildings begin to collapse, looking back at huge clouds of billowing smoke. I think of the eerie scene after the buildings collapsed turning that part of downtown to into a dusty scene one thinks of in a disaster movie.

I think of those who suddenly turned to God in fear of what might be next, then think of those who returned back to their lives of making God second place in their hearts, once they thought they were safe again.

Osama bin Laden Won’t Be Around For 10th Memorial of 9/11

Thankfully, Osama bin Laden won’t be around to gloat 10 years after 9/11. He is the main reason 9/11 happened so I had no sympathy for him when he met a violent death himself, but even that can’t bring back the fathers, mothers, daughters and sons who were killed on September 11, 2001.

Big Brother 13: Fortune Teller Talks, Leaving House Guests Frazzled

SPOILER ALERT: DO NOT READ THIS ARTICLE IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED SINCE THE SUNDAY NIGHT SHOW OF BIG BROTHER 13.

This post will tell who won the veto on Saturday, what the POV winner decided at the POV ceremony and other developments, which have happened since the show aired on Sunday night.

The post also tells about the eviction which will be filmed on Tuesday for broadcast on the Wednesday night show on CBS.

Sunday’s show left us with Rachel winning the HOH and nominating Kalia and Porsche for eviction. Adam then won the POV on Saturday and elected not to use it during the POV meeting on Monday.

Eviction Will Be Today

The house guests found out yesterday that the eviction will be Tuesday. It will be filmed on Tuesday. The live feeds will likely be cut off at some point today, since CBS doesn’t want the results of the eviction to be known to live feeders, since it would be all over the internet, before the show on Wednesday night. The live feeds should resume after Wednesday’s show.

The fortune-teller at the Big Brother 13 house finally talked last night and gave the house guests some very important information.

Rachel and Jordan presently want Kalia evicted, but that could change before the votes are cast. Personally, I think evicting Porsche would be a better game move, since she may do well in the HOH endurance, with Kalia not likely to do well if it involves any movement. If it is a case of holding on to something, then Kalia could be more of a threat. 

Someone will be leaving the Big Brother house today. We just won’t know who it is till tomorrow night’s show airs on CBS.

Fortune Teller Talks, Gives Predictions For HOH Competition

Fortune teller moved last week and last night Crystal the fortune-teller talked for the first time. She announced that when she laughed, that would be a cue to enter the room.

One of the predictions given by the fortune-teller includes this one about Jeff:

In 2014, Jeff will disappear from society. He will be last seen in the Chicago streets muttering two words, clown shoe

The fortune-teller speaks about 9:30 BBT and tells the house guests the information she is giving will be needed to win HOH. 

Another prediction given last night was this one about Evel Dick:

11:08PM BBT: Fortune Teller: “In 2015 Evel Dick will start a Christmas tradition by bringing gifts to heavily tattooed orphans, changing his name from Evel Dick to old Saint Dick. Leave me now! Leave my parlor room!” 

The house guests became frazzled from trying to remember the different predictions, with some house guests confusing the others with the wrong information being remembered. Adam should do well in this competition, but Jordan said she needed to hear them again, which I doubt will be happening.

Big Brother 13: Shelly Sent Packing, HOH Winner Revealed…Spoiler Alert

Last night’s Big Brother 13 show was not nearly as exciting as the double eviction show last week. However, it still had plenty of drama as Shelly tried to engineer a deal to guarantee her safety with Rachel and Jordan. She was even believing that they might actually save her, but when the votes were announced she was sent home by a 2-1 vote. Kalia led to believe that Rachel and Jordan were voting to keep Shelley, voted to evict Adam which should solidify Adam’s allegiance to Racehel and Jordan.

Brendon was shown at the Big Brother jury house, enjoying himself with the house to himself. When Danielle arrived Brendon showed no anger at her for nominating him for eviction twice. Jeff seemed to be mostly concerned that he flipped the clown shoe away during the HOH on the double eviction POV.

When Shelley arrives later this week after appearances on television, the jury house could become heated if she and Jeff lock horns at the jury house.

Rachel seemed to have been helped by the producers again, since she is more athletic, than the remaining house guests. The HOH contest wasn’t even close with Rachel taking an easy win by placing the most donuts on her post.

Jordan, Adam and Kalia seemed to be going in slow motion. Can’t help but wondering if all three were throwing the HOH. For Rachel made five more trips to pick up donuts than the others, showing she was by far the best competitor.

Rachel would be smart to target Porsche for conviction next week. By evicting Porsche, she would eliminate the the only house guest who might possibly beat herm in the endurance competition coming up. I look for the last four house guests to be Rachel, Jordan, Kalia and Adam.

Adam should vote the way that Rachel and Jordan want him to. If Kalia and Porsche go on the block, neither will be able to vote, unless one of them wins the POV. If the nominations stand, then it should be a 2-0 vote to send Porsche home, assuming she is nominated for eviction.

However the Pandora box will come into play this week, so that could change everything. It will be interesting to see how a celebrity connects with Pandora’s box. Just hope it isn’t another promo for a CBS television show, like the David Hasselhoff promos for his show. I am sure they will try to tempt Rachel to open the box, but Porsche found out that isn’t the smartest move in the Big Brother game.

Rachel has won three HOH’s and two vetos this season and will be trying for her second consecutive veto tomorrow. The worst case scenario would be for Porsche to win. Rachel and Jordan want all three of them gone eventually so it really doesn’t matter if Adam or Kalia leave first, though they would like Adam to stay one more week. For Rachel and Jordan to go to the final two, they have to evict Porsche before the endurance competition.

Is it just me or does Rachel seem to be less confrontational than she was earlier in the game. I think she was jealous of Cassi and that was only reason Rachel wanted her out of the house.

As much as I like Jordan, she may be one of the worst competitors this season. She always seems to find a way to lose and look bad doing it. Jordan admitted she doesn’t deal with pain well, so that puts even more pressure on Rachel to win the endurance, if she is still in the game after the two evictions next week.

With evictions on Wednesday and Thursday, there will only be three players left by the end of Thursday’s show. It is hard to believe that there are only 12 days left till the finale on September 14.

Matt McDonald of Big Brother 9 Writes From Prison: August 24

Matt McDonald of Big Brother 9 writes in great detail about his life as a construction worker by day, drug dealer at night and drug runs on the weekends.

Today’s blog written by Matt tells about him working 40-50 hours a week as a construction worker, then dealing drugs from his car after working hours.

Of course he always found time to do drugs, plus had a relationship with a girlfriend on the side. He tells about lying to her on Saturdays by pretending to go to work, when he was really flying to Florida to do more drug trafficking and see his other girlfriend in Florida.

We’ll let Matt tell his story from here since this is his story. I hope he comes out of prison a changed man, so he will never see the inside of a prison again. Writing these blogs has to be a form of therapy for him.

Big Brother 13: Shelly’s Family Receives Death Threats

Some Big Brother 13 fans take the game more seriously than others. TMZ reports that Shelly Moore’s family has received death threats, since Shelly’s vote to evict Jeff Schroeder on last Thursday’s show, which resulted in Jeff leaving the Big Brother house.

Shelly’s daughter has even been threatened, which is carrying hatred, way too far.  Her boss has been called by these overzealous fans, requesting that Shelly be fired for voting against Jeff.

Big Brother 13 is not true reality and fans should realize this. Reality shows are being manipulated for the highest ratings. 

That is why house guests like Brendon Villegas are allowed back in the house this season and Rachel re-entered the house last season. Rachel coming back into the house last year was a ratings ploy, to get viewers to tune in to see the house guest’s reactions to seeing Rachel walk back in the door. 

Rachel has been one of the most hated house guests ever, by both the house guests and Big Brother fans. She is also is a very pathetic person, who takes the game way too personally. Her highs and lows during the game show she is not able to handle adversity well. When she wins HOH she is ecstatic, but when she is put on the block she has a pity party.

Last night’s show was another example of the Big Brother 13 producers manipulating the show. With Rachel gone, the ratings would have plummeted so they come up with a Pandora twist. The twist was if Porsche, the HOH accepted the $10,000 prize money, the house would receive a consequence.

Porsche may have won $5,000 with the other $5,000 going to Kalia, but may have knocked herself out of a chance to win $50,000 as the second place winner or $500,000 for the first place winner. 

Now she is a target after winning POV and HOH in succession then winning the $5,000. 

Back to Shelly….She has made deals with all the house guests and it finally backfired on her this last week, when Jordan and her got into a verbal confrontation.

However, that doesn’t excuse fans making death threats to her family. It only shows that some fans take this game more personally than they should. She will probably question if she should even went on the show, when she hears about the death threats.

Hopefully, the fans that made the death threats, will be apprehended and spend years not months in jail.

Big Brother 13 : Double Live Eviction on Thursday’s Show, Spoilers

They hope to be holding more checks at the Big Brother 13 finale on September 14 if they are still in the game, but with eight players still in the game and a double eviction on Thursday, anything can happen.

Jeff has won HOH and nominated Kalia and Porsche for eviction on Friday night. He apparently didn’t want to give Danielle a chance to win the  Power of Veto, so avoided nominating her.

There are eight players remaining in the game now with Jordan, Jeff, Rachel, Shelly and Adam in one alliance and only Danielle, Porsche and Kalia in the other alliance. 

Danielle’s alliance only has one voter, while the stronger alliance has four that will be eligible to vote.  It is almost a foregone conclusion, that the vote on Thursday night will evict Porsche or Kalia. 

However, Jeff added the Power of Veto to his HOH power last Saturday, so he is truly in command of the game. He is considering the option of backdooring of Danielle. If he takes any other option, he could be making a huge mistake, since Kalia and Porsche are not really threats to his game at this point.

Danielle is sensing that she is going to be backdoored, since Jeff has been non-committal about his plans. I look for him to remove Porsche from the block and then substitute Danielle in her place. Now that Danielle knows she may be going on the block, she will badger Jeff, until the last minute to make a deal that will keep her safe.

If he doesn’t put her on the block, he may regret it and it may cost him $500,000. Danielle is one of the best competitors in Big Brother history, so there is no reason to keep her in the game.

With the double eviction being live on Thursday’s show, it is imperative to get Danielle out now, or she may win HOH on Thursday night and put up Jeff and Jordan or Jeff and Rachel. That would leave only three voters for the Jeff, Jordan, Adam, Shelly and Rachel alliance. 

The double eviction will leave little time for politicking and deal making before the second eviction.  Julie Chen will have her hands full on Thursday night, trying to work in an eviction, an HOH, a POV, a power of veto ceremony and another eviction in about 46 minutes of actual viewing time. 

As far as I know, the house guests have no idea, there will be a double eviction this week. One house guest thought it would be the next week.

Those fans who are watching the live feeds, should see plenty of drama today, if Jeff does backdoor Danielle. It might get ugly before this day is over, especially if Rachel becomes involved by gloating over Danielle’s demise if she is put back on the block.

Rachel has had a quiet week so far, but who knows she could be gone on Thursday night, after the second eviction.

Danielle made two surprise nominations last night throwing the Big Brother 13 house into chaos.

Nobody saw this coming and Danielle has completely changed her gameplay. It was almost a foregone conclusion as to she would nominate for eviction, but now she has thrown the Big Brother 13 house into complete chaos with her surprising nomination selections.

Danielle nominated Shelly and Adam for eviction. Shelly who was playing both sides in the house is the house guest targeted to go home. Only a Veto competition win will save her now.

Apparently Danielle has been offered a Final 3 deal with Rachel and Brendon according to online reports. With those three in an alliance they could run the table the rest of the season in competitions. With Kalia and Porsche also ready to vote the way Danielle and Brenchel want them to, they can count on four votes on eviction night, since Danielle is ineligible to vote. However, there is nothing that indicates that Danielle accepted a deal till the end. She had to make some kind of deal though, for Rachel and/or Brendon to not be on the block this week.

Big Brother 13: HOH Results and Aftermath Spoilers: August 11

HOH RESULTS FROM AUGUST 11 REVEALED!!!

 

If you want to wait till Sunday’s show on CBS to find out who won HOH and the aftermath after the competition, don’t read this article since it reveals the winner of the HOH competition.

 

 

Last night’s Big Brother 13 show ended with Brendon Villegas returning to the Big Brother house after defeating Lavon Exum in a special challenge, which reunited Brendon with his girlfriend Rachel Reilly. This week has showed how fast this game can change. 

This time last week Brendon had been sent home and it appeared that Rachel would go home this week ending the season for the couple. However, a funny thing happened after the nominations as Kalia was convinced by the other alliance to not push for the house guests to vote Rachel out because of the twist this week.  Now instead of Brendon and Rachel being out of the game, they are both back in it.

Brendon, Rachel, Jeff, Jordan and Shelly appear to be with one alliance, which leaves only Danielle, Porsche and Kalia in the other alliance with Adam a wild card. Danielle’s alliance needs Adam to give them more votes since Danielle can’t vote as HOH. The other alliance will lose two voters, who will be put up on the block. It will take three votes next week for a team to control the votes. 

Danielle Donato of Big Brother 13 has won HOH for the second time in three weeks.

Last night after the show ended, Danielle won the HOH competition, giving her second HOH in three weeks. It was the third consecutive HOH won by the Danielle alliance. She knew her back was against the wall with Brendon and Rachel back in the game, however Danielle seems to win when she needs the HOH the worst.

Assuming Brendon and Rachel will be nominated for eviction that leaves Jeff, Jordan and Shelly voting to keep Rachel or Brendon next week, depending on who Danielle is targeting. Either alliance would be smart to offer a deal to Adam to guarantee him safety next week in return for his vote. Adam is in the power position this week, plus Danielle is desperate to get him to vote her way. 

If Danille can persuade Adam to vote her way, the vote would be 3-3 tie with Danielle casting the tie breaking vote. Adam is in a position to bargain for the best deal, because he is the swing vote. If he joins Jeff, Jordan and Shelly in voting together to vote against the targeted house guest to leave, the veterans plus Shelly and Adam would win 4-2, robbing Danielle of a chance to cast a tie-breaking joke. Adam can figure on being hounded all week for his vote.

However, all bets are off if Brendon or Rachel win the Veto competition, but we still don’t know for sure who will be nominated. If that happens, I would expect to see Shelly nominated for the first time this season. Unless Adam adamantly refuses to vote with Danille’s alliance, he should be safe this week and probably next week too if the newbies-Danielle alliance wins HOH again next week.

Rachel and Danielle have combined to win four of the six HOH competitions.

Brendon has either won or shared a win with Rachel three times in the Veto competition. Dominic and Jeff have won one Veto each this season. 

Rachel has won HOH twice, shared a Veto win with Brendon, while Danielle has two HOH wins. She needs to win the veto to make sure her nominations stay the same, to prevent the drama of last week from happening again. If not for Jeff winning the veto, Rachel probably would have been  voted out of the house. That would have set up a challenge between Rachel and Brendon, which would probably result in Brendon throwing it to Rachel.

The two keys this week are who wins the veto and how Adam will vote. Adam will have to grab his life vest this week, because his days of floating are over, with his vote being crucial to who advances in the game.

This year has seen some of the worst play in Big Brother history. Two players on the block Keith and Dominic, have thrown veto competitions which could have taken them off the block with a win. The last HOH, Kalia put one of her own alliance, Lawon who volunteered to be evicted, up for eviction, resulting in him going home.

Kalia more or less, wasted her week as HOH. She was so determined to show she was making the decisions and not Danielle, that she went against Danielle’s wishes to try to help Rachel get the votes she needed to stay. Not since Howie Gordon nominated two of his own alliance  in Big Brother 6 for eviction, has an HOH made a worst move than Kalia did this week, effectively flipping the house and preventing the opposing alliance from losing anyone this week and in fact added another in Brendon due to the twist. 

 

 

Big Brother Veto Ceremony Spoilers Aug.8: Will Be Shown on Wednesday’s Show

 Wednesday night show who won the Veto and the results

of the veto ceremony:

Jeff won the veto ceremony last Saturday and removed himself at the veto ceremony. Lawon was placed on the block in his place. The house guests thought he had volunteered to go on the block.

The most shocking development of all is that Rachel now has the votes to stay and should be safe. So if Brendon were to be brough back by Big Brother 13 fans, we would have both Rachel and Brendon in the house again.

Whoever is brought back will have to battle Lawon to regain entry to the house. So instead of a power player being evicted on Thursday it should be Lawon who is evicted. Kalia will be questioned as to why she would put up one of her own alliance and protect Rachel from the other alliance.

ABC News Refutes Report That Jackie Kennedy Thought LBJ Was Behind Assassination

The online edition of the Daily Mail reports that Jackie Kennedy Onassis thought that President Lyndon B. Johnson was involved in the assassination of her husband, the late President John F. Kennedy.
It makes sense to me that President Johnson could have been involved, since he had the most to gain from his untimely death.
Most of the other conspiracy theories are centered around revenge, like organized crime, Castro and the CIA. However LBJ ascended to the presidency, as a result of the assassination. It was known that LBJ was not happy being a second banana to the Kennedys and their braintrust.
Warren Report: Oswald Acted Alone
It also might explain why the Warren Commission rushed to judgement pointing to Lee Harvey Oswald, as having acted alone.
The last thing LBJ would want included in the Warren Report is a rundown on all the conspiracy theories, because his name would be one of the names mentioned as a possible conspirator.
LBJ didn’t get where he was in his political life to be a figurehead vice president presiding over Senate sessions and casting tie-breaking votes. He had to resent the Kennedy brain trust, who probably thought LBJ was not at their intellectual level.
The following paragraph from Evelyn Lincoln’s book Kennedy and Johnson reveals that President Kennedy was thinking of dumping LBJ and choosing another vice presidential running mate in 1964. If LBJ knew about his nefarious plans to remove him from the 1964 presidential ticket, it may have set in motion the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
“As Mr. Kennedy sat in the rocker in my office, his head resting on its back he placed his left leg across his right knee. He rocked slightly as he talked. In a slow pensive voice he said to me, ‘You know if I am re-elected in sixty-four, I am going to spend more and more time toward making government service an honorable career. Another paragraph from the Kennedy and Johnson book tells of LBJ seemingly telling the president what to do, which had to infuriate JFK:
Lincoln goes on to describe the relationship JFK had with LBJ. Lincoln recalls the first important meeting the two men had after the decision had been made. It took place in JFK’s home. She saw the meeting through the glass. She also had reason to enter the room several times. She was shocked by what went on. Lincoln claims that LBJ did almost all of the talking. He constantly wagged his finger at JFK as if he was telling him what to do. Lincoln reports that JFK was distressed after his meeting. In fact, LBJ nearly always had this impact on JFK. Especially in the early days of the presidency when LBJ played an active role in decision making.
Audiotape Showed No Acrimony Between LBJ-Jackie Kennedy

If there was any acrimony between President Johnson and the Jackie Kennedy, the widowed wife of former president John F. Kennedy it isn’t evident in this audiotape. The tape was recorded on December 2, 1963, ten days after the assassination. They not only got along well in the conversation, but LBJ even went so far as to ask Jackie to go for a walk with him.

 

 

Listening to these tapes which LBJ recorded  will leave most listeners, thinking that Jackie was very impressed,with the president taking time to read a letter she had sent to him. Jackie even mentions that she will be known, as the woman who ran around with two presidents. This audiotape is not one of the audiotapes to be released by ABC next month, but was part of President Johnson’s recordings made, while he was in office.

Caroline Kennedy Strikes Deal With ABC

Jackie Kennedy Onassis did not want the audiotapes released till 50 years after her death in 1994. However, her daughter Caroline Kennedy, in return for ABC abandoning a project on the Kennedy family, released the audiotapes to ABC after only 17 years. If Jackie’s wishes had been followed, the audiotapes would not have been released till 2044.

 

 

Disclosure of Affair Between Jackie and William Holden

The audiotapes also mention an affair between Jackie and actor William Holden, which reportedly took place while President Kennedy was in office. ABC has not denied the truthfulness of  this affair, to my knowledge but we won’t really know till the audiotapes are released next month.

Big Brother Twist Could Pit Brendon Against Rachel

Brendon Villegas shown with his fiancée Rachel Reilly has a chance of re-entering the Big Brother house next Thursday night after America votes for who they want to re-enter the game.

 
Brendon Villegas was evicted from the Big Brother house by a 5-2 vote last night. However, with the latest twist revealed by host Julie Chen, he may be back in the house as soon as next Thursday.
 
The new twist allows Big Brother viewers to vote on whether to bring back house guests who have been evicted. Among those possibly returning to the house are Keith Henderson 32, of Bollingbrook, Illinois, Cassi Colvin 26, currently living in Nashville, Tennessee, Dominic Briones, 25 of San Mateo, California. Brendan the latest evictee is 31 and from Riverside, California.
 
I look for Dominic to be the top vote getter, but it would be interesting if Brendon were to lead in votes, thereby forcing a situation, where he would face Rachel (likely evictee next week) in a battle to see who re-enters the house. It probably won’t happen, but it would be fun to see who won.
 
The return of Dominic would make Danielle feel better, about her horrendous mistake, of trying to backdoor Jeff. Even her dad Evil Dick said on the show last night, that he thought Danielle had acted too soon to make a power move.
 
With Kalia as HOH, Danielle should be safe for this week. Porsche made a bad mistake of voting for Brendon to stay, which may backfire on her if her vote becomes known. After the vote Porsche sensed that Rachel was acting like she was mad at Porsche. Maybe this will lead Porsche to team up more closely to Jeff and Jordan, since Rachel is probably headed home next week.
 
Shelley is hard to figure, since she is on friendly terms with the newbies and the veterans. I have a feeling the whole house is ready to send Rachel packing. Rachel is probably the most dramatic player ever in Big Brother history. She will always be remembered for crying in the bushes, after losing a Power of Veto competition. Rachel could have some serious mental problems, since she is not thinking logically in her gameplay. She has made the game personal and players that play that way usually don’t win the $500,000.
 
Lawon probably has the least game of any house guest this season. He is just there floating around with his life vest. However, if he were to win HOH next week, that would take him two weeks deeper into the game.
 
Kalia may put Jordan up as a pawn, for the second week in a row. It is a no-brainer that the house guests would vote out Rachel before Jordan.
 
Jeff and Jordan need to start doing some politicking, since Rachel’s departure would leave them as only two veterans in their alliance, unless Danielle makes a move to keep them safe for another week or two. They definitely need to talk to Porsche, Adam and  Shelley to see if they are still on their side. I look for Rachel to be evicted by a 5-0 vote, if she doesn’t win the Power of Veto competition.
 
It will be interesting to see how Dominic plays the game if he is the returning houseguest. Will he rejoin Danielle again in her alliance or will he join Jeff, Jordan, Shelley and Porsche to give them control of the house. It would be the best move for him rather than
 
That scenario would only leave Danielle, Kalia and Lawon (no telling who he will side with) on the other side. For all of this to happen, Jeff and Jordan will have to cement their relationships, with Shelley and Porsche. If veterans win HOH next Thursday, they would put two up from the other alliance, which would mean Danielle and Kalia would probably be nominated for eviction.
 
It looks like Shelley may be switching from side to side, depending on which alliance has the power for that week. So all of this is conjecture, but it is interesting to see what actually happens, between now and next Thursday and what happens after the next HOH is crowned.
 
 
 

Marla Cooper: Key To Latest Lead on D.B. Cooper Hijacking

Marla Cooper whose uncle L.D. Cooper,may turn out to be the D.B. Cooper who hijacked a Northwest Orient Airlines flight has given investigators a guitar strap and photos of her uncle. If L.D. Cooper’s fingerprints and/or DNA match those the FBI has in materials that are in FBI possession. 

Ms. Cooper recalls her uncle and another uncle planning something mysterious. The hijacking took place the day before Thanksgiving on November 24,1971. She said her uncles had left to hunt turkeys a day before the hijacking. They returned a few days later with L.D. Cooper having claimed he had been in a car accident, because he bloody and bruised.

This paragraph from the Wikipedia article on D.B. Cooper, ends with a line about someone remembering an odd uncle and that apparently is exactly what has happened.

While FBI investigators have insisted from the beginning that Cooper probably did not survive his risky jump,[6] the agency maintains an active case file—which has grown to more than 60 volumes[7]—and continues to solicit creative ideas and new leads from the public. “Maybe a hydrologist can use the latest technology to trace the $5,800 in ransom money found in 1980 to where Cooper landed upstream,” suggested Special Agent Larry Carr, leader of the investigation team since 2006. “Or maybe someone just remembers that odd uncle.”[6]

 Another interesting fact about the hijacking is that the Northwest Orient flight departed from Portland, Oregon for Seattle, Washington and that Marla Cooper had suspicions that her uncles were plotting something at her grandmother’s house in Oregon. So it is plausible that her uncle could have been the D.B. Cooper that hijacked the flight.

That would also explain why no body was ever found near the money that was found. If her uncle was the one that hijacked the plane, he may have left some money at the scene, that was later found, to make it appear that he had not survived the landing.

L.D. Cooper reportedly has been dead for ten years, but if the other uncle is alive, the FBI will surely question him as to what he knows.

It is surprising that Marla Cooper has chosen to tell her story to the news media, so close to the 40th anniversary of the hijacking. It seems like the family has been protecting the uncle. This case still isn’t solved, even with the latest revelations, but if the FBI can prove L.D. Cooper and D.B. Cooper are the same person, it will be another case of the FBI getting their man, even if he died ten years ago.

There are questions surrounding the latest lead from Marla Cooper. Why did she wait so many years to go public with this information? What happened to the rest of the money that wasn’t discovered? If L.D. Cooper did have the money, how did he keep from spending the money too fast to avoid suspicion?

Had Marla or any other family members been questioned by police or FBI previously? Did they answer questions truthfully, if questioned by police or FBI?

This will be an interesting story to follow in the coming days and weeks, to see if 1971 hijacking is solved once and for all.

Big Brother 13: Spoiler Alert: HOH Endurance Results and Aftermath


SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!! DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW WHO WON THE HOH ENDURANCE CONTEST ON BIG BROTHER 13 LAST NIGHT

It was no surprise that the Big Brother 13 program last night focused on the fight at the house meeting on Wednesday. The meeting exposed Danielle to behind a move to backdoor Jeff. Danielle called Rachel an idiot and Brendon didn’t take kindly to the attack on his fiancée.

Parts of the fight were shown on the live show last night on CBS. That drama made the upcoming HOH endurance competition even more important for Danielle to win. If a veteran won HOH, she would be out of the game next week,so it was imperative that she win the endurance. Something told me she would win since she looked determined to win it. She had lasted about 8 or 9 hours in an endurance competition during Big Brother 8, so knew she was likely to win.

The house guests were on a wall with skis on and holding on to a peg in the wall. The wall began to move to a downward angle, making it more difficult to stay on.

Alex and Lawon fell off in the first 15 minutes.

Brendon fell off 15 minutes later at 7:30.

Jeff was the last man to fall at 7:45 leaving Jordan, Shelley, Kalia, Porsche and Danielle in the competition.

Jordan fell five minutes after Jeff at 7:50

Porsche lasted 20 minutes longer than Jordan falling off at 8:10

Shelley was the last of the house guests linked to the veterans to fall at 8:20 after 80 minutes

Kalia gave it to Danielle at 8:30 with Danielle lasting 90 minutes.

Jeff Wins $10,000

While Jeff was on the wall, he said he was jumping off if Brendon didn’t get the snowball with $10,000. So he jumped off the wall and won the $10,000. Jeff probably didn’t win any points with Brendon and Rachel by taking the money, instead of trying to win HOH, leaving the veterans subject to eviction.

Adam’s snowball was not so good. Now he will have to wear an elf suit. Brendon won a have-not card, which apparently will keep him from being a have-not the next time he is on the losing side of a have-not competition.

Men Lasted Half As Long As Women

The men lasted only 45 minutes, while Danielle stayed on the wall for 90 minutes. It is almost like the veteran men weren’t worried about winning. Shelly lasted 35 minutes longer than the men.

It seems like the endurance competitions don’t last as long as they used to. Kaysar worked out a deal with Jenny in Big Brother 6 during a 13 hour endurance that backfired when Jenny didn’t keep her word.

Nobody Cheered For Danielle and Kalia

Danielle and Kalia were not being cheered on during the endurance competition, which tells me they may be up for eviction the next the time veterans win HOH, since currently Porsche and Shelley are still with the veterans. That leaves Kalia and Danielle in the opposing side and maybe Lawon. Adam and Lawon seem to be floaters, so no telling how they would vote.

The bad thing for the veterans is that two of them won’t be able to vote with the two on the block. Adam and Lawon hold the key to how the next vote goes, depending who they side with.

Danielle Tells Jordan That Jordan and Jeff Are Safe

After the endurance ended Danielle told Jordan in the house, that she was not sending Jeff and Jordan home next week. She had also asked Jeff to keep her safe the following week, in return for her not putting them up for eviction later today.

I am sure a lot of the house guests will be happy if Brendon-Rachel are nominated for eviction. He can’t seem to have a conversation with anyone, without calling that person a liar. He does not have a good social game or he would have not launched into the attack on Kalia, when Kalia was still on their side. His behavior pushed her over to the other side, even if she did vote with the veterans last night.

Rachel and Danielle Apologize To Each Other

Rachel and Danielle had a talk after the endurance competition, with them apologizing to each other. I doubt anything that Brendon and Rachel say or do now will save them from being nominated today.

Rachel and Brendon talk to Porsche, wondering if Danielle would put up with Kalia. That would be a stupid move and doubt Danielle would even consider that, since Kalia seems to be solidly in with Danielle now. Why should she nominate her closest ally in the house, now that Dominic is gone?

Rachel Threatens Danielle

Rachel talks to Danielle and tells her that if she puts up Brendon and Rachel, that she won’t vote for Danielle if she is in the final two. Danielle does not like being threatened, saying she would vote for the better person in final two, not for the one she liked the most.

After the meeting with Danielle, Brendon is furious that Rachel talked to Danielle without him being there. While they are trashing Danielle, Danielle is hearing every word, which probably insured they will be nominated for eviction later today.

Big Brother 9′s Matt McDonald Posts July 13 Blog From Rhode Island Detention Center

Matt McDonald of Big Brother 9 has been moved from county jail to a detention center in Rhode Island. He spent 15 months in the county jail and in is previous blog had said he was eager to be moved to a federal prison.

He was sentenced to three years for distribution of oxycodone, while his fellow Big Brother 9 house guest Adam Jasinski was sentenced to four years for the same offense. Jasinski not only was selling oxycodone, but failed to report his $500,000 winnings to the IRS. Guess he was thinking they wouldn’t notice he had won the money on a show being nationally televised.

McDonald is still following Big Brother and mentions that he hopes to watch the show that night. Big Brother contestants are usually forgotten a year later, but McDonald has attracted a lot of attention four years after leaving the Big Brother house…only in a negative way.

He ends his blog with a quote from mobster Whitey Bulger who had been on the run from the law, for many years before being captured recently:

When I get some more paper I’ll write again…but for now I’ll leave you with a little quote from our “good friend” Whitey Bulger… “It takes a strong person to reach inside himself and say I’m here because of me.”

JFK Had Long List of Enemies

The long list of enemies assassinated President John F. Kennedy had at the time of his death showed he had made a host of enemies, while in office in two years and ten months of being president.

The following list may leave out someone unintentionally, because it is not easy to remember all of his enemies. Some people may not regard some of these people or organizations as JFK’s enemies, but to me they had reasons to have him assassinated.

President Lyndon B. Johnson – When Lyndon B. Johnson was defeated in the 1942 race for the U.S. Senate, he was losing in the vote count. However, 202 votes mysteriously turned up in alphabetical order with all the votes being for Johnson. The election judge admitted 35 years later in 1977 that the 202 votes were fraudulent. The voters whose names were on the fraudulent ballots were all deceased.

The reason I even mentioned the 1942 Senate race is that LBJ was not that happy being a second banana to the Kennedys, when he accepted the nomination to run for Vice President in 1960. The 1942 race also shows that LBJ would do whatever it takes to win an election.

I am not saying that LBJ orchestrated the assassination of JFK, but he had the clout to make it happen if he wanted. One obvious fact is that nobody profited more from the assassination of JFK than LBJ. He went from being a pawn in the Kennedy administration with little or no power, to becoming the most powerful man in the United States.

Cuban Freedom Fighters – The invasion of the Bay of Pigs in Cuba was doomed from the start because of news articles like this being printed:

JAN 10, 1961: The New York Times publishes a front page story entitled “U.S. Helps Train an Anti?Castro Force at Secret Guatemalan Air?Ground Base.” Written by Paul Kennedy, the article reports that “Commando?like forces are being drilled in guerrilla warfare tactics by foreign personnel, mostly from the United States.” – National Security Archive

This is tantamount to printing in the New York Times that the Allied Forces are preparing for an invasion at Normandy, France. This must be the fault of the CIA to have leaked this sensitive information so Cuba would be aware of the impending attack.

It must be noted that President Dwight D. Eisenhower was still in office when the plan to invade Cuba was instituted. Despite JFK”s eagerness to blame the CIA for the crushing defeat of the invasion force, the president is ultimately the one that must accept the blame.

By his failed invasion, JFK infuriated Fidel Castro and the  Cuban Freedom Fighters who abandoned them as they fell into the clutches of Castro’s henchmen and many of  them were executed.

Fidel Castro – It was a huge coincidence that on the same day JFK was assassinated, Rolando Cubela Secades an employee of Fidel Castro was handed a poisoned pen by CIA agents in Paris, for Secades to use to kill Castro.

Castro had to know of the assassination plots against them, so naturally he would assume that JFK was behind the plots. It was clear that Castro had caused JFK to go through the October missile crisis of 1962. The Russians finally blinked, but it was Castro who allowed them to set up their missiles, just 90 miles from our shore.

His ex-lover Marita Lorenz smuggled a cold cream container with poison pills inside. However, Castro discovered the plot and gave her a gun to shoot Castro, but she couldn’t pull the trigger.

Those were just some of the assassination attempts against Castro. If there was anyone that had reason to assassinate JFK, it would be Castro.

American Mafia – There were many angry mobsters not happy with the way Robert F. Kennedy was prosecuting Mafia chieftains. The two names I have heard mentioned the most were Sam Giancana and Carlos Marcello as the masterminds behind the JFK assassination.

Judith Exner was reportedly the mistress of President Kennedy and the girlfriend of mobster Sam Giancana.

Judith Exner was introduced to President Kennedy by Frank Sinatra. Exner’s activities were being watched closely by FBI director J. Edgar Hoover, who was using his knowledge of the affair to potentially blackmail the president to protect his job security. That explains why he was FBI director for so long, since he had blackmail material on every president he served.

Exner was a girlfriend of Giancana, so her affair with JFK may have been one more reason that Giancana reportedly conspired to kill JFK. It was 12 years after the assassination before Exner was publicly linked to JFK, but apparently Jackie Kennedy knew about the affair while JFK was still alive. The following paragraph from anusha.com infers that Jackie knew what was going on:

Exner has been treated unfairly by history. She never sought to capitalize off the fact that she was JFK’s mistress. She kept this hidden for years. Jackie knew about her, of course. Once, when Jackie found a woman’s pink panties in her pillow case, she turned to JFK in bed and said, “Would you find out who these belong to, because they are not my size?”

Louisiana mobster Carlos Marcello had a huge motive for assassinating JFK, since JFK’s brother Robert the attorney general, had Marcello deported to Guatemala.

Marcello made the following statement which shows that he was serious about having JFK assassinated:

In September 1962, Marcello told private investigator Edwin Nicholas Becker that, “A dog will continue to bite you if you cut off its tail…,” (meaning Attorney General Robert Kennedy.), “…whereas if you cut off the dog’s head…,” (meaning President Kennedy), “… it would cease to cause trouble“. Becker reported that Marcello, “clearly stated that he was going to arrange to have President Kennedy killed in some way“. Marcello told another informant that he would need to take out “insurance” for the assassination by, “…. setting up some nut to take the fall for the job, just like they do in Sicily”. – Wikipedia

The above statement shows that Marcello wanted JFK dead so his death would deter his brother from pursuing his vendetta against organized crime figures in the United States. The assassination played out just like Marcello mentioned in that a patsy named Lee Harvey Oswald took the fall, while the ones planning the job celebrated.It is just too much of a coincidence for me that Oswald was killed by Ruby who had close connection with the Chicago mobsters.

The FBI investigated Marcello after the assassination and came to this conclusion:

After Kennedy’s assassination, the Federal Bureau of Investigation investigated Marcello. They came to the conclusion that Marcello was not involved in the assassination. On the other hand, they also said that they, “… did not believe Carlos Marcello was a significant organized crime figure,” and that Marcello earned his living, “… as a tomato salesman and real estate investor.” As a result of this investigation, theWarren Commission concluded that there was no direct link between Ruby and Marcello. – Wikipedia

It is ludicrous that the FBI would state that Marcello was not a significant organized crime figure. Even more preposterous is that they said he made his living as a tomato salesman and real estate investor. Then to cap it off the Warren Commission said that Jack Ruby and Marcello had no direct link.

FBI – The FBI may not have fired the shots that killed JFK, but J. Edgar Hoover had information about a plot to assassinate JFK just 13 days before the assassination, but apparently did nothing to act on that information. Retired FBI agent said that Joseph Adams Milteer had told William Somersett, a FBI informant on tape that the best way to kill JFK was to shoot him from an office building with a high-powered rifle. It is not surprising to me that Milteer is not even mentioned in the Warren Commission Report.

The FBI agent asks if there were plans to assassinate JFK and Milteer replied that they were in the works. Milteer was shown in the crowd at Dealey Plaza, the day of the assassination. Why would he be there to see JFK since he hated JFK? It tells me that he wanted to see for himself that JFK had been assassinated.

Adams also says he has information from FBI reports verifying that Lee Harvey Oswald, not only didn’t fire any shots from the Texas Schoolbook Depository Building, but was seen in the break-room at the exact time of the shooting.

Knowing that the FBI director Hoover, who was no fan of the Kennedys, had this information and sat on it tells me he was not intent on stopping the assassination. Why didn’t Hoover pass on this information to the Secret Service so they would be extra cautious on November 22, perhaps going so far as to leave the roof closed on the presidential limousine?

Hoover almost certainly knew about JFK”s connection with Judith Exner and Marilyn Monroe, but with Kennedy dead he didn’t have to use that information, since his job was safe.

CIA – The CIA had motive to assassinate JFK or let someone else assassinate him unimpeded, because only two years earlier JFK had vilified the CIA after the Bay of Pigs fiasco. The president had said the air strikes were not vital, which doomed the invasion. However, he was intent on blaming the CIA, saying he wished he could shatter the CIA into a thousand pieces. Several high level CIA officials handed in their resignations, including CIA director Allen Dulles.

So now the CIA has the motive to assassinate JFK, because he showed he was mad enough at the CIA to possibly even dismantle the most secretive intelligence organization. If the CIA was involved in trying to assassinate Fidel Castro, it would not be surprising, that they would entertain thoughts of assassinating the president who had dissed them publicly.

Secret Service – There are some that think that the Secret Service was involved in the assassination and Roy Kellerman in particular. Kellerman reportedly turned around to the front after looking back and seeing JFK had been shot, rather than responding immediately. Conspiracy theorists also say Kellerman took JFK”s body from Parkland Hospital by force.

William A. Greer the Secret Service agent driving the limousine, slowed down and then brought the limousine to a stop. It is thought that the stopping enabled the killer or killers time to make the fatal head shots.

It is difficult to believe that the men hired to protect the president would play a part in his assassination. I can’t see why any of the Secret Service agents would have motive to assassinate the president. It is because of this fact, that I rule out any involvement of the Secret Service in the assassination.

KGB – Any list of possible conspirators would have to include the KGB, since Russia had been more or less forced to withdraw their missiles from Cuba only 13 months before the assassination. This had to be the main motivating factor for them to be a participant in his assassination.

There was no doubt that Khrushchev was angered at JFK for placing him in the position, where he had to withdraw Russians missiles from Cuba as can be seen in the following portion from scientciapress.com.

According to Ion Mihai Pacepa, at the time deputy director of foreign intelligence for Gheorghe-Dej’s Romania, in his book Programmed to Kill:  Lee Harvey Oswald, the Soviet KGB, and the Kennedy Assassination [1], Dej was visiting Moscow at the time of the Cuban Missile Crisis.  Pacepa writes:

Lee Harvey Oswald reportedly gave the Soviets the intelligence they needed to down the U-2 plane of Gary Powers in 1960. Powers himself said Oswald could have been the one that gave the Russians intelligence they needed to down his plane.

The KGB more than likely knew that Oswald intended to assassinate JFK, but did nothing to inform Washington of the impending assassination, since it removed JFK from the scene after JFK had shamed Premier Khrushchev the year before during the Cuban missile crisis.

Summary: This November 22 will be the 48th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. It will be six more years till the last files pertaining to the JFK assassination will be released.

It is amazing that President Kennedy could have incurred the wrath, of so many enemies in less than three years after being elected.

The Warren Commission took the easy way out and concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone on November 22, 1963, to kill the president of the United States.

Oswald’s own statements after being arrested, if they are considered to be truthful, imply that he was only a patsy, which inferred that there was at least one other person involved if not an entity like the CIA or FBI. Evidently, the Warren Commission did not think Oswald was being truthful, because they ruled out any conspiracy theory.

If Oswald was a patsy, he was perfect for the job. He had moved to Russia after being discharged from the Marines, which could have gave him access to the KGB. Even though the KGB was suspicious of Oswald, they knew he could be used to further their plans of assassinating President John F. Kennedy.

The fact that Oswald was in the Texas School Book Depository Building, by itself doesn’t mean he was the one that pulled the trigger that day. With the shooter surrounded by boxes, it was not likely the shooter was ever seen while shooting. It has been assumed all these years that Oswald killed Officer Tippett. He may have but after reading the following article, I am not so sure it was Oswald:

48 years have passed since President John F. Kennedy was assassinated, but there are many who are not willing to accept the Warren Report conclusion that Oswald acted alone.

The fact that Allen Dulles, the former CIA director was on the Warren Commission, skewers the report beyond recognition considering he was there to steer the commission from probing too much into CIA documents related to the assassination.

Even President Lyndon B. Johnson said in this statement, probably without thinking that he was saying the Warren Commission Report was not completely truthful about Oswald acting alone.

That statement tells me that he thought Oswald did not act alone, if he was blaming Castro for JFK’s assassination, since Fidel Castro wasn’t in the Texas School Book Depository Building the day of the assassination. LBJ is insinuating that Castro was involved and by doing that he is saying that some of  Castro’s people may have planned the assassination of JFK with the Cuban government making sure Oswald had what he needed to assassinate President Kennedy.

Hale Boggs, Majority Leader and former Warren Commissioner:“Hoover lied his eyes out to the Commission – on Oswald, on Ruby, on their friends, the bullets, the guns, you name it…”
Coincidence or Conspiracy?, by Bernard Fensterwald Jr. and Michael Ewing, p. 96. The quote comes from an unnamed aide to Congressman Boggs. The book also quotes Bogg’s wife Lindy, through a colleague, as saying “He wished he had never been on it [the Commission] and wished he’d never signed it [the Report].”

John Sherman Cooper, Senator and former Warren Commissioner:“On what basis is it claimed that two shots caused all the wounds?…..It seemed to me that Governor Connally’s statement negates such a conclusion. I could not agree with this statement.”
The Zapruder Film, by David Wrone, p. 247. Cooper was commenting on a draft of the Warren Report. Wrone is citing the papers of J. Lee Rankin, wherein Cooper’s written comments appeared.

Big Brother 13: Newbies Don’t Have Clue How to Play This Game

Big Brother 13 rookies not playing the smartest game this season.

It looks like the Big Brother 13 rookies have left their thinking caps at home. It looks like the twist of adding veterans from Big Brother 8, Big Brother 11 and Big Brother 12 was too much of a shock, causing them to lose their senses.

Some of the newbies formed an alliance called The Regulators, which lasted about as long as a box of Twinkies for a family of four.

Evil Dick Exits Game Early

Even though the veterans lost Evil Dick almost immediately after the first show aired, the  veterans took it in stride. That is all except Brendon Villegas, who ranted and raved about how they had lost before they got started. I could understand Brendon being worried since the veterans were now outnumbered 8-5.

Thankfully, Jeff Schroeder calmed Brendon down, giving him a pep talk, in effect telling him all was not lost yet. Next thing you knew the veterans had Kalia Booker, Shelly Moore and Porsche Briggs on their side. It even looked like they had convinced Adam Poch to go to their side, but he voted for Keith to stay, which was opposite of what the veterans wanted.

Keith Throws Veto Competition While On the Block

Keith helped evict himself, thinking he had the numbers on his side and threw the veto competition. Unless my memory fails me, I can’t recall anyone on the block throwing the veto competition, since it is only way someone nominated for eviction can remove themselves from the block.

Porsche was on the block so she couldn’t vote, but Kalia and Shelly switched sides to vote with the veterans to get rid of Keith. The vote to evict was 6-4 so the veterans whittled the advanage of the newbies to 7-5. With another newbie going home this week, the advantage of the newbies will shrink to 6-5.

Newbies Puzzled Over Who Switched Votes

It was funny the way some of the newbies were trying to figure out who voted with the veterans. The ones that switched didn’t give themselves away, so the other newbies still don’t know for a fact who switched their votes.

Jordan Lloyd who won HOH is a lot more into the game than when she was on Big Brother 11 two seasons ago. Now that Adam sees there are some newbies playing for themselves, he is telling the veterans he messed up last time and wants to join with the veterans. His thinking is that he will last longer in the game with the veteran’s protection, until it is time for everyone to fend for themselves.

Newbie Not Likely to Win the $500,000

When the newbies started linking up with the veterans, they made it less likely that a newbie will win the $500,000 in September. If the veterans win HOH next week, it should finish off any chance the newbies will be a force in the game.

The five veterans now apparently have Porsche, Adam, Shelly and Kalia on their side giving them an edge of 9-3 with Dominic Briones possibly coming over to the veteran’s side. That leaves Cassi Colvin and Lawon Exum as the only ones of the newbies still not linked with the veterans.It is hard to believe the newbies have squandered a 8-5 advantage into an apparent 10-2 (if Dominic switches sides) disadvantage assuming the newbies will continue to work with the veterans and vote the way they are told.

The newbies have broken the cardinal rule of sticking together as long as they have the advantage in numbers. Instead they started bailing out the first week and The Regulators are not regulating anything.

Brilliant Game Play By Veterans

Only problem for veterans is that they have promised too many people they will be safe. That means they may be voting off some newbies who were told they were safe. The play by the veterans has been brilliant overall though.

However, Rachel has to watch what she says and not make the game personal. She is the kind that will vote someone out if she doesn’t like them rather than vote out someone, that is more of a threat. Brendon will have to keep an eye on Rachel 24/7 or she could cause some of the newbies to join forces with each other. She doesn’t need to repeat her “Hang on to your life vests floaters” again this season.

Unless the newbies regroup as an alliance between now and next Thursday, the veterans have everything going their way. The Dominick-Danielle friendship has to be watched by the veterans as these two could throw a wrench in the plans of the veterans, but then there are only two of them and they won’t have much power this early in the game. However, if Dominick wins HOH this Thursday, we could see one of the veterans going home the following week. Still not sure, if he would be so in with the veterans to nominate a newbie couple for eviction.

March 1, 1954: Congress Turned Into Shooting Gallery

Puerto Rican nationalists being held by police after shooting five members of Congress.

Four Puerto Rican nationalists entered the U.S. Capitol on March 1, 1954, four years after other nationalists had tried to assassinate President Harry Truman at Blair House.

The nationalists proceeded to the gallery and started shooting at the members of the House of Representatives, from the gallery. They started firing at the representatives and five of them were injured including Alvin M. Bentley (R-Michigan), Clifford Davis (D-Tennessee), Ben F. Jensen (R-Iowa), George Hyde Fallon (D-Maryland) and Kenneth A. Roberts (D-Alabama).

Lebron only pointed her pistol at the ceiling, since she didn’t want to hurt anyone but eyewitnesses said she had problems holding the gun steady and it jerked upward, while Figueroa’s pistol jammed, so Miranda and Flores were the only two shooters to hit the representatives.

The four nationalists shooting at the representatives were Lolita Lebron, Rafael Cancel Miranda, Andres Figueroa Cordero and Flores Rodriguez.

President Dwight D. Eisenhower commuted their death sentences, with each assailant being sentenced to 70 years in prison. Figueroa Cordero was the first released in 1978 due to having terminal cancer.  President Jimmy Carter released the other three in exchange for Cuba releasing CIA agents being held in Cuba. However, Carter denied this which makes it a mystery why he would release the attackers after only serving 25 years of a 70 year sentence.

It is hard to believe that the four attackers could walk into the U.S. Capitol with firearms without being detected, but this was before it was common to have metal detectors in government buildings.

Cordero asked to be immediately executed after being brought to court, but that request was denied.

Did Dorothy Kilgallen Know Too Much About JFK Assassination?

Dorothy Kilgallen was born July 3, 1913 in Chicago, Illinois. She started writing her Voice of Broadway column for 146 syndicated papers.

She hosted the radio program Dorothy and Dick on WOR in New York City which was first broadcast in 1945. Her husband Richard Kollmar co-starred on the program. Kollmar was known for portraying Boston Blackie on the old-time radio show with the same name as the character he portrayed.

The show was on the air for 18 years before it ended in 1963. Meanwhile she was one of the panelists on What’s My Line a CBS television show hosted by John Daly which began in 1945. She appeared on the show until her untimely death in 1965.

Kilgallen was active in newspapers, radio and television simultaneously, so was well-known long before she interviewed Jack Ruby. She hated country music with a passion and when some stars of the Grand Ole Opry appeared at Carnegie Hall, she called them “hicks from the sticks”. Patsy Cline didn’t take kindly to her words and said ” And if I have the pleasure of seeing that wicked witch, I’ll let her know how proud I am to be a hick from the sticks.”

Published Ruby’s Testimony Before Made Public

Her five minute private  interview with Ruby is supposedly the only interview he gave without the presence of sheriff’s deputies. Somehow she got hold of the transcripts of Ruby’s testimony before the Warren Commission, then had them published before the Warren Commission Report was published.

J. Edgar Hoover considered Kilgallen a threat and had her moves watched closely for 25 years before the assassination. Kilgallen charged that the mafia had been recruited by the CIA to assassinate the Cuban leader Fidel Castro. That was later proven to be true.

Ruby Met With Officer Tippett Before Assassination

The most shocking revelation revealed by Kilgallen was that Jack Ruby, J.D. Tippett (the police officer who was killed by Lee Harvey Oswald) and two other men had met at the Carousel, Ruby’s nightclub three weeks before the assassination. This makes me wonder just what Oswald and Tippett were talking about before Oswalt fatally shot Tippett.

Kilgallen Found Dead With JFK Notes Missing

The JFK assassination notes of Kilgallen were gone, when her body was found on November 8, 1965. She had bragged to many people that she was about to blow the JFK assassination case sky high with the information she had.

Even in death, there was controversy surrounding her autopsy. James Luke the medical examiner who spent 45 minutes at the death scene did not sign the death certificate, as Dominick DiMaio another medical examiner signed the name of James Luke.

No Official Cause of Kilgallen’s Death

No official cause of death has been determined, with it possibly being a combination of Seconal and alcohol causing the death. It is still not known whether it was suicide or accidental. There is also a possibility she may have had a heart attack concurrently with the effects of the barbiturates.

Since no witnesses were present at her death, that we know of, it may be that she was forced to take the overdose by the same people that took her JFK assassination notes.

The following paragraph from Wikipedia’s article on Kilgallen tells me she learned something that not even her husband would discuss after her death:

One of two known comments Richard Kollmar made about his first wife after her death was later recalled by Bob Bach, who booked the mystery guests for What’s My Line?. At Bach’s home several hours after her funeral, the television producer asked the widower to discuss his wife’s interest in the assassination, and Kollmar replied, “Robert, I’m afraid that will have to go to the grave with me.”

November Marks 48th Anniversary of JFK Assassination

In conclusion, this November will mark 48 years since the death of President John F. Kennedy in Dealey Plaza and 46 years since the death of Dorothy Kilgallen who apparently knew too much about that day, for her enemies to let her die of old age.

The day JFK was assassinated, I was a 19 year old soldier working in the company post office in Hawaii, when I heard the news of his death on the radio in the post office. I will be 67 when Nov.22 comes around this year. However, I have no more idea of what truly happened that day, than what I knew 48 years later except a U.S. president was assassinated on the streets of Dallas, Texas.

I have a feeling many people with knowledge of what really happened that day have died, many mysteriously, but as the years go by fewer and fewer of them are left. Someone 40 years old on that day would be 98, if still alive. Anyone 50 or older then probably have already taken any secrets they knew underground with them.

Puerto Rican Nationalists Attempt To Assassinate President Truman in 1950

President Truman was living in Blair House when Puerto Rican nationalists tried to get past security guards to assassinate Truman.

President Harry S. Truman was living in Blair House in 1950 while parts of  the White House residence of the president were being rebuilt due to structural problems.

 
It is clear to see in the photo above, that Blair House was not close to being a secure residence, like the White House. It was at this time that Puerto Rican nationalists were upset that Puerto Rico was a territory, while they advocated the independence of Puerto Rico.
 
 
Puerto Rican Nationalists Decide To Assassinate Truman
 
Griselio Torresola and Oscar Collazo were two activists in the nationalist movement. They had met in New York City and when Torresola’s sister (unnamed) and Elio the brother of Collazo was arrested in a failed uprising in Puerto Rico to gain independence for the nationalists.
 
This is when Torresola and Collazo decided to assassinate President Truman, in an attempt to spotlight attention on the Puerto Rican nationalist movement. They watched the activity around Blair House before making their assassination attempt.
 
Oscar Collazo walked up the steps and attempted to shoot White House Police Officer Donald Birdzell in the back, but he had failed to cock his handgun, pulled the trigger again and shot Birdzell in the right knee as Birdzell turned around to face Collazo. Secret Service Special Agent Floyd Boring and White House Police Officer Joseph Davidson joined the fray, opening fire on Collazo with their service revolvers.
 
Then Griselio Torresola, who was walking down Pennsylvania Avenue toward Blair House, spotted an officer Leslie Coffelt inside a guard booth and shot him four times with his German Luger pistol which would eventually kill Coffelt. 
Torresola then saw Joseph Downs, a White House plainclothes policeman and shot him three times. Downs still was able to get inside Blair House and slammed the door preventing Torresola from entering Blair House.
 
Then Torresola saw his partner Collazo, about to be shot by Donald Birdzell, so he shoots Birdzell in his left knee, crippling Birdzell who had been shot in his right knee by Collazo.
 
 
President Truman Only 10 Yards From Shooter
 
President Truman awakened by the shooting from a nap, did an incredibly stupid thing, by opening his bedroom window. He was only 10 yards from Torresola at the time.
 
This assassination attempt has been more or less forgotten 61 years later, but for one day in November of 1950 the President of the United States could have easily been killed, if one of the shooters had noticed him looking out his bedroom window 10 yards from the shooter.
 
 

Officer Leslie Coffelt was shot and killed by Griselio Torresola but Coffelt would later kill Torresola before dying four hours later.

 
 
 
 
Officer Coffelt who had been shot earlier in the guard booth by Torresola fired and hit him killing him instantly. Coffelt died four hours later so Torresola and Coffelt killed each other.
 
Collazo was arrested and sentenced to death but President Truman commuted his sentence to life imprisonment. President Jimmy Carter commuted his sentence to time served and Collazo was returned Puerto Rico to live 15 more years before his death in 1994.

Big Brother 9: Matt McDonald Writes About Prison Life

 Matt McDonald who was known as Matty on Big Brother 9 is now in a federal prison in Massachusetts. He was convicted of conspiring with Big Brother 9 winner Adam Jasinski to sell Oxycodone.

Jasinski used a large portion of his $500,000 winnings to buy Oxycodone, then conspired to enlist McDonald in the drug selling operation.

When Big Brother’s premiere show is shown each year, the house guests are shown getting the news about being selected for the show.

For Jasinski and McDonald it was only the precursor of bad news for the duo. They might not have the money they received from their drug operation, but at least they wouldn’t be spending years in prison for selling illegal drugs on the streets. Being chosen to be on  Big Brother 9 was the worst thing that ever happened to them.

Big Brother house guests for the most part are never heard from again after the shows for that season are over. But for Jasinski and McDonald made the news for all the wrong reasons.

McDonald has also been arrested for beating up his pregnant girlfriend, which tells me he has little respect for women.

In conclusion, McDonald seems to be repentant for what he did in the past, including flooding the streets withOxycodone. He seemed to be a jerk on Big Brother 9, but his posts do show a different side of McDonald. One can only hope he has truly learned by his mistakes and that they won’t be repeated when he finishes his three-year sentence.
