Last Dance was one of the best known songs sang by the late Donna Summer.
Donna Summer has died at the age of 63 in Florida, after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts on December 31, 1948. She is best known as the Queen of Disco and won five Grammy awards and was nominated for 17 Grammys.
Summer recorded her first No.1 hit with her rendition of MacArthur Park in 1978. She followed that up with three No.1 hits in 1979, which were Hot Stuff, Bad Girls and No More Tears (Enough is Enough). She hasn’t had a No.1 hit in the last 32 years.
Disco wasn’t popular with everyone, but it is still part of our musical heritage and Donna Summer was a huge part of the disco era.
