Flash mob erupts in song singing the Hallelujah Chorus in mall food court in St. Catherine’s, Ontario, Canada.
It was another day for busy shoppers in an Ontario mall and as many shoppers ate in a food court a lady starts singing the Hallelujah Chorus while seemingly talking on a telephone and then more and more singers join in until a huge group sings their part of the Hallelujah Chorus.
What a beautiful reminder of the original meaning of Christmas on a busy day of shopping.
I am sure that many were soulfully refreshed by this deeply felt and beautifully (and quite professionally) sung rendition of Handel’s Halleluia Chorus from the Messiah. Those who are not Christians received a lovely musical gift as well– a lovely gift from those who sang to a weary bunch of shoppers, and also to all of us who get to hear and see it. Thanks, whoever you are!
I agree with Sharon….In a time when the original meaning of Christmas is being pushed to the background by ACLU it is great to see a religious Christian song sang in public.
It wasn’t in Oklahoma, it was the Fairview mall, St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada that this flash mob happened
Thanks Dale for the correction. It now corrected in the article.
